I was wrong. We cannot play paulinho and dembele together or sandro and capoue. They're too similar to each other. Its got to be paulinho and sandro with holtby or eriksen (creator) in front of them. To those of you who knew that already, sorry it took so long to sink in..!

Also, Dawson will never fit this system. So poor today. He just doesn't have the skill or pace. But I'd worked that one out already. ;)

Your names Jaystar? You aren't that lad from the X Factor last night are you?

Chadli looks like he has potential but he dosn't appearer to be anywhere near good enough at the moment.
Give him a chance to bed in, once he had several games under his belt and the understanding has improved he should be ok.

Also, this was a welcome to the prem for our new players who felt the heat of it today...much more than in the last two games.

You'd have to think Holtby still isn't 100% or something for him not to have come on.

Out of all the players, new signings or not, Holtby and Eriksen are the key to our success this season. We'll need them both healthy and on form or the system putters along without ever really firing into life.

I'm confident that will happen though.

Not aimed at any particular post or poster, but the football expertise on here is, well.... astonishing.

Think I'll take a break for a couple of hours to avoid a bloodied keyboard and a sore head. :D

Dawson is a very lucky chap to be in this team. Once Kaboul is fit and Vlad adapts, Dawson can start looking for a new club. His future looks extremely bleak.

I agree that some of us expected too much too soon so let's get real.

What do we need? More creativity, better set pieces and better defending. It can't happen overnight.

We have all the ingredients for a superb team, we just need to blend them together the right way and that will take both time and patience.

Spot on.

A big day for Arsenal but it will be a long time before they beat us again. We bossed possession, chances, touches in the area, passing accuracy etc. With Lamela, Eriksen and the bedding down of new players we will improve so much. Kaboul or Chiriches (or even Capoue) will replace Dawson, Sandro will come in into the centre alongside Paulinho

Sunday league defending for their goal

That aside it was a very dull game

Without Lloris we'd have lost 3-0

Everyone had a go at Rose at half time when he wasn't that bad, but leaving him alone when he was terrible second half, strange. A couple of times Walcott and Giroud(who isn't that quick) ran in behind and Rose was 10-15 yards away

Just my opinion but I don't believe it was all Jake's fault - our mentality was wrong, we sat on our box, sh*t ourselves and invited trouble

AVB would have made some difference but Livermore was such a significant drop in level from Sandro and it showed in those games, yes the entire team dropped but taking our best defensive player off for somebody who isn't even as good as Sandro at 50% didn't help in the slightest and whether it was AVB training or not, the second we stopped subbing Sandro we stopped conceding late.

They're one of the best teams in the country. We looked decent. Players need to gel and creativity needs to be worked on, and that only comes when forward runs are learned and passes picked. We'll be fine.
