Glad to see we have a scapegoat already, Where's Jenas when we need him !!

I hope Sandro has been told to greet Berbatov in the correct way........

Our creative midfield against the worst form side in the league is comprised of two defensive midfielders and a box-to-box player

Plus either Lennon or Lamela is on the left

We're playing Defoe for no reason

Andre r u ok

Well hopefully the reception for Berbatov from the home fans will put them on to an instant downer.

Not loving the Defoe/Lamela/Lennon/Paulinho frontline but hey ho. Interesting to see how the two beasts get on together in CM.

I'd rather not see Defoe but AVB is just rotating. Soldado will be back in on Sat.
What's the need for rotating Soldado? Paulinho has been run into the ground yet still plays week in week out.

For me this was one of those games where Soldado could really kick start his career with us.

I don't mind healthy competition for the lone striker role but only if the other candidate had the necessary qualities. This seems to be pointless rotation to appease Defoe.

So much whining every time the lineup is announced! We have a big squad which needs to be rotated to keep players fresh, interested and hungry. Its better people get used to this mentality.

I've got a feeling sandro and Capoue will be pressing their midfield high, pushing pressure back on them. I'm saying 2-0 including a goal from outside the box

Were all deflecting our nerves with humour and Defoe hate aren't we :D

Its not really nerves with me. Its just that Defoe legitimately adds nothing. In fact he subtracts from the team. Its like playing with 10 men. That and also, we are starting someone in an extremely important match that will be in Canada in a months time.

He really isn't, he receives too much of the ball with his back to goal and then when he links up play and we get wide players overlapping he is outside the box. He seems to get frustrated too often and find himself looking for the ball when he should be getting better service from midfield so he can focus more on getting into the box more.

If you look at the passing stats after games they would suggest you are wrong. Soldado barely gets involved compared to players like Adebayor. Soldado should be dropping off more and other players running past or through him. Drop a few yards off the defence and lay it off/slip it through to a player charging into space behind the opposition back four.

Capoue is not the defensive midfielder people think he is, he should have more freedom in there with Sandro today so should make the most of his passing range.

Capoue has also played as a box to box mid in his career so his selection is logical.
