Stoke might be shit but they've been a proper bogey team for us in the past. Beating them always feels good!
I've criticized Dembele for not pushing further up the pitch, but today he was much more decisive with his dribbling. He really is one of the best strikers of the ball we have, but he just doesn't get in a position to shoot enough.
We are going to have some really tough choices moving forward. The Dembele/Paulinho combination, in my opinion, is the best attacking option we have in central midfield. Sandro doesn't have the passing or dribbling ability those two do, but he brings lots of other qualities to the table, so perhaps he should play in away matches and against the better teams in the league.
Lennon was much better in the second half than the first, and I'm very happy he scored, which frankly surprised me given his drought since March.

The best thing to take from all of that is that Dembele is hitting peak beast form ready to DOMINATE united once again. They're going to seriously hate him on New Years day

Which is a shame, as Lamela does more the with ball, and things just start to flow around him, his movement makes space for himself, he is just better I feel. The guy is just going to be amazing once he is up to speed.

Just in the same way that people calling for Tim to be sacked after a pretty woeful performance at home to West Brom were stupid to do so. To claim that since win somehow vindicates Sherwood's appointment is equally wrong.
I think only after 10 games or so will we really be able to judge whether the appointment was the right one or not.
That said today's game gave me quite a few positives. Paulinho before going off being the main one. Lennon looking to take his man on and get in behind another was good. The trio of Paulinho, Dembele and Eriksen seemed to have really nice balance.
The negative is that it all happened against an atrocious Stoke side so it's difficult yo judge how well it would do against a top side.

I am happy but it seems my opinion on Lennon gets a 'spam' rating however up until he scored the goal it was all 'agrees'
And even 1 minute before he scored he passed the ball out of play with no pressure on him.
So a goal changed everyones views on a poor performance? Cool!
