Great win, but back to hoofing the ball back up the pitch aimlessly to defend a lead.

Seriously, when are we going to learn to keep attacking and remain composed. So so sloppy and so much hard work brought upon ourselves. Kane should have come on for Ade and support Soldado.

Great win, but f me, that second half was dire.

Owen is such a wanker, he won't say a bad word about United or Moyes.

Media wankers.

AVB and Spurs were a club in crisis.

Why are United still 'title' challengers.

Did he say they are? I switched that prick off at the whistle, but before the game he categorically stated that whoever lost today would be out of the title race.

What the fuck???? Kane was excellent, fucking great sub from Sherwood

Strong username to post content ratio.

I know criticism of anything on here is an infamata but his closing down effort in the last 10 mins was absolutely unacceptable. Dembele was chasing and harrying significantly more and he had been on the pitch for 90 bloody minutes.

I do not expect world class skill from Harry Kane but I do expect 100% effort, I did not see that at all.

Other than that great effort from the lads and congrats to TS.

Think we should try a cheeky bid for Rooney since he's already deep in Dembele's pocket.

What is that Kane comment all about ? He was great !!

He showed a great touch and he was calmness personified - LOVE the way he slowed down at the end and created time and space, showed great composure.

His technique looked very good today

What a performance from Chiriches and Eriksen. Rose was abysmal and Dawson was Dawson, but Chiriches managed to hold it together quite incredibly.
Rose was shite but tbf to him he's gone from no football (even friendlies) in 3 months to 3 games in about a 10 days.

Hopefully he will be better for this run of games.

i think todays performance highlighted how much Moose suffers from two games in a week, that hip injury is still an issues. He was very reserved and not as commanding today. Hopefully we can begin to manage him better for future games.

Harry Kane came on with so much confidence he may aswell of had his dick in his hand.

That 60 yard punt from an offside position was fucking genius, ref couldnt book him because the whistle hadnt been blown

My one worry with Sherwood instead of AVB was that he wouldn't be able to get us to beat the better sides and could potentially ruin the decent away form we had going. I think that game has pretty much put that one to bed by itself. He took the game to them and it paid dividends.

I get your point about Sherwood completely but what top sides did AVB beat!

Mark Lawrenson, at Old Trafford for 5 live SportMan Utd 1-2 Tottenham
"That is a big win for Tottenham. They hung on and it's a great win for Tim Sherwood and his team. For Manchester United it's one step forward, two steps back. There's no way they can win the league, for me. They will have to show much improved form if they're to get into the top four. Teams are coming here now seriously believing they can win. And you know what? They can.

"Manchester United just aren't playing well enough for you to be able to back them. There is something missing. This is the team that won the league last year but this massive football club still has not replaced Paul Scholes. Whether you replace him with one or two players, that's the biggest single reason they are struggling. They have yet to replace a world-class footballer. Spending in January is easy, but getting the right players in January? That is so, so difficult."

The great thing about this is the players will completely trust tuimmy now and everyone will be pulling in the same direction.

Also the 'big' players can see there is still value in staying here.
