Think Eriksen's performance is going under the radar slightly.

A superb assist and another goal.

He was everywhere today and was better defensively than I expected he would be for us.

All that from an unfamiliar position too.

Watching the game I was concerned that at some point we would panic and throw away some goals. To TS credit he has the trust of the players and you could see it. I was freaking out when he put on Kane and bentaleb but they did enough

Thought Walker was a bit of an unsung hero as well, the guy has been world class in his last three or four games. Guess that's the sign of top defending though, no one notices you

This thread just confirms what we have known for a while.
There are people posting on here who obviously supporters of other clubs and just engaged in a wind up.
Why else would you be finding the downside of beating the reigning champions on their own patch?

And so the search goes on for a pundit who will only ever say positive things about Spurs. Until then, the slightest hint of criticism automatically turns anyone who has to pass comment as a **** and any TV station whose highlights show that does not devote 55 minutes of a 60 minute show to Spurs as Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea loving cockwranglers.

But Ginola was in the BT Sports studio, no?

For a player of his experience he should not be getting caught out of position or giving the ball away so frequently needlessly. He was very fortunate that he had other players covering for his errors.

And not to down play the win but winning against last years champions.. accounts for a whole load of fuck all.

In case you haven't noticed they've been rubbish for a large majority of this season.

I have not read one rational argument to back up why you feel we shouldn't get rid.

There is no need to direct profanity towards me or any other poster for that matter.

Deal with it. And get a bloody argument that stands up.

Are you saying this for effect?

The man was everywhere, controling the ball, playmaking, leading, heading balls out from set pieces and produced a sublime header for our first goal.

Its no coincidence we lost control of the game when he went off.

I would like to think you are being sarcastic.

It wasn't sarcastic, no. Arguably part of my feeling may be that I still don't think he does nearly enough considering his ability.

Between his goal and him going off he was a lot better, I don't question that, but that was half of the time he was on the pitch.

That's a fair point, but if your strikers are not scoring..at all(defoe and soldado),not using your 3rd, even for rotation,is just idiotic. Completely freezing a player out of a team is never the right option, especially if your team isn't scoring. Bonehead move by AVB..

No it was'nt if you allow players who are actively undermining you as manager to be involved you are doomed to failure.
AVB's failure was not been experienced enough to adjust his system to PL & putting a tactical straight jacket on his team, not. playing to players strenghts..he could of got team scoring witout ADE if his system was'nt so rigid

Yes there is. Your posts today about Dawson are absolute horseshit, motivated by malice, rage, viciousness and bigotry. You deserve every negative rating that you've been given: x 10

After getting completely fried by Welbeck early in the game, Dawson was then an essential part of a superb all-round collective defensive display, restricting Man Utd to the kind of frustrating half-chances that our opponents were restricting AVB's Spurs team to, earlier in the season. Despite all of their possession and pressure, we had nearly all the clear-cut chances in that game, which was half down to our stubborn defending and half down to our revised attacking approach.

Without Dawson's numerous clearances, blocks and his working relationship with Chiriches, who was even better than Dawson, we would have lost the game. It is impossible for a team to hold out against a determined, constantly-pressing Man Utd team at Old Trafford for a half-hour unless every one of the defenders does a stellar job. That includes Dawson.

So, basically, you are talking crap - and doing it for reasons that suggest unpleasant motivations.

I also think capoue had a great game up until he went off got back and helped the defence out a number of times.
