Well it you're comparing attacking players that don't contribute much offensively at the moment, then other aspects come into equation.

Establish himself as what, new scapegoat in case Siggy and Lennon are sold?
But at least they wont allow Kaboul to their job for them, that was simply outstanding and damn right disgusting, for Lennon to let that happen.

Lennon is finished.... Deal with it.

At least Townsend and Chadli have a chance to develop and get better, Lennon has been here for years and is getting better or going slightly backwards,

He has do well for the club and I respect him for that, but his time is over.

Why should I "deal with it". For me he is option as long as others available are worse.

Chadli is two years younger than Lennon, hardly a schoolboy and we should've cashed in on Andros last summer.

Why do people continually bleat on about Lennon's work rate?

I'm not dismissing it but citing Lennon's inclusion - effectively a wide forward tracking back a bit yet disregarding his appalling contribution in an attacking sense just dumbfounds me.

Lloris

Walker Kaboul Vertonghen Fryers

Sandro Paulinho

Dembele Eriksen Chadli

Adebayor

Please, please, please if we get nowhere else this season can we reach the point when people STOP calling for a front 3 including Adebayor, Soldado and Eriksen. My brain cannot come to terms with who is playing where in that one.

There's been nothing I've seen that says we can't give Soldado a go playing primarily wider, using his link up play with his face to goal rather that with his back to it

Why don't we just play our best player (Eriksen) in his best position (centre) and build from there?

Lloris
Walker Kabs Verts Rose
Sandro Eriksen
Paulinho
Lennon Ade Townsend.

Because most times he has played there for us he has a bad game, and when he plays coming in from the left he looks good

Why he should be dropped? Don't get me wrong, I think he has been rather bad recently, but still to be dropped means there should be better alternative to come in and Andros isn't such and Chadli hasn't shown that much either.
He is doing NOTHING with his opportunity. It's high time someone else was given theirs.

Someone else has a nicer tone than Townsend or Chadli, doesn't it?

I don't have problem with dropping Lennon, but if anyone thinks that is some sort of solution given our other options, they're deluding themselves.

and yet they've both matched his output in significantly less playing time. how bad does that make him?

I have toyed with this idea but he just isnt going to track back or cover effectively. I really want him in the team with Ade but we simply don't have the players for 4-4-2 and so at the moment he has to be on the bench.

It may be different if we can get Lamela and Eriksen in the same line up and working effectively. I think 4-1-4-1 is the shape that would allow us to get the most out of our players and we could have either soldado or ade as the 1.

Has anyone noticed how Omar'nopersonality'Coming has gone through and neg repped 7 sensible line ups.

Neg repping for not liking a line up is childish when the thread is for a discussion re our line up tomorrow.

Several words come to mind ...

Really the only game erik started in the centre was Swansea away and that was his best game, he is not a left sided winger drifts out of the game. Play him where he should and he directs the game and he has the skill and niche to open up and create

I have a feeling Harry Kane will start up top by himself, with Soldado on the bench. Even spurs official have this on twitter

Harry Kane says there is 'no better game' in which to return to winning ways than tomorrow's North London Derby: http://bit.ly/1hmrmqX

More often than not the player asked by the official site for his thoughts on the next game does not start.

If Sherwood would play that, we'd win tomorrow.

On another note, I really cannot understand why numerous people in this thread have Lennon and Townsend BOTH starting with Adebayor as our sole striker. How many times do we need to see these two turn in mediocre performances? Lennon and Townsend have 1 assist in 2600+ minutes in the league. We have OVERWHELMING evidence that they cannot score or create goals. So why the hell do people keep casually inserting them in their preferred formations?

Either play with two strikers (Soldado and Adebayor) or play Chadli and Eriksen on the wings with Ade. Lennon and Townsend both playing on the wings will lead to us creating fuck all for 25 minutes before someone like Rosicky grabs a goal. We then try to surge back before conceding two more late goals to lose 3-0.

Put out your best players and grab an early goal and the game will change.

Eh, not sure, I've seen many tweets (from SO) where Soldado is mentioned/quoted and then was on the bench. Same with how half the time the player on our match programmes doesn't actually play.
