You just know USA vs. Portugal is going to be a shit match after that

USA seem to be the only country in world football - since Norway in the eighties - who have chosen England's national team as their tactical football template.

To be fair to them, they do do it better than England.

Dempsey up front on his own. Often does not work out well for the US.
Nope it doesn't, but still probably the best given the options. Really should have been Boyd in 23 over either Wondo, Bacon, or Green. We really lack a target up top without Jozy. Still, I believe. 3-1 to good.

Bentaleb is really composed for someone his age who 8 months ago was playing development squad matches in front of 50 people. Pleased for him

This is it really.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more fuss made of him playing in this WC.

He hasn't just played his way into the squad - he played his way into being one of the first names on the team sheet.

Phenomenal season from the lad.

I hope he's handled correctly next season.

Amazing sight, it's seriously picking up in a big way there.

People focus on the fact that it will probably be at best the 3rd biggest sport over the next 30 years, but in a nation of 320M, the third biggest sport still means more fans than most European nations.
