Although he's been a great servant, I hope Lennon is one. I reckon we could get quite a bit of money for him (10+ mil) because he's English, under 30, and everyone still thinks he's quick.

trix in griezmann thread on coys: Still hearing J-Rod, Poch has spoken to him personally this week. Whether that is about now, January or the Summer I don't know but he has been asked not to sign his new contract offer form the SCBC.Also expect Lovren to start acting up in the next week or so if wheels don't start moving.

Rickie Lambert didn't get PL experience until he was in his 30s and he's done quite well...

It's difficult - throwing shitloads of money at scouting and the best training facilities is all well and good, but if we then ship our best talents out on loan to League One, where they get the shit kicked out of them for a couple of years in a team that plays nothing like the way they'll be expected to in the Premier League, it's hardly ideal preparation. And the really important issue is that we have 30 professional, often international players - three for each position. Partly the raw talent has to be there in the first place - but partly a young player's ability, their understanding of the culture of the club and their usefulness to the style of play of that club comes from repeated exposure and game time.
Sure, Southampton cast their net far and wide, and have satellite facilities in Bath, so they identify lots of young players with potential - but those players have tended to play together, in the same team, with the same style, from the age of about 15. It's very difficult to see that happening at Spurs.

Yeah, many Italian reports saying Napoli switched their attention to Lucas. Obviously it's because Levy was asking for obscene prices.

I love how we enjoy it when Levy asks for obscene money but then we complain when other teams do it to us :ROFLMAO:

Clubs like Tottenham make and receive dozens, sometimes hundreds of enquiries about players every transfer window.

It is possible to read too much into them, even though some, a tiny proportion, lead to actual transfers.
