I would have given Tim another season, but for good or ill he's gone, and we move on. But I do think it is hilarious that those who slaughtered Tim from day one are the ones leaping to the defence of every perceived sleight to Poch. But then I guess you already have your man crush, eh? Is it the sexy Portugese accent?

I suggest you go back and read my comments when Sherwood was put in charge. It makes you look rather stupid when you make such sweeping statements founded upon widely inaccurate assumptions.

Sorry, I just reacted to your entirely unnecessary and frankly childish personal attack, which I agree was a stupid thing for me to have done.

But the comment in the second quoted sentence was really directed more at others.

Does anyone know if Spurs TV will be repeated, or whether you can view it again later?

I won't be in around 9pm tonight but I really want to see the first friendly.

Two things.

One, this sounds biased but Holtby looked really good there. Seems like he's playing LCM too which is positive!

Two, is that pitch we're playing on tonight? Looks very bobbly, is it astroturf?

Yeah, Holtby looked very good in that first vid, covered a lot of ground and moved the ball quickly. He looked like he was playing 2 positions, to be fair. LCM and LB, since Rose was being a WADFA (wanders about, does fuck all). :p

You joke but Rose is possibly the best player in the world in that position right now.

Yep its turf. Turf sucks for football. MLS should make them play on grass. We have to be more careful as well with injuries as well.

BTW, the differences in astroturf and field turf make my mind boggle so to me, there is absolutely no difference. Just turf.

There is a huge difference between astro turf (green carpet) and field turf ( actually looks like grass). Preliminary studies have shown field turf is no more conducive to injuries than grass is. It's astro turf that's the knee ripper. The places with astro turf nowadays are few and far between. None of which are professional stadiums.

But of a meh press interview for me.

At this stage I'm happy to put it down to having to do it in English and the uncertainty that may have come with it. But he avoided some stuff and I didn't get an overwhelming sense of happiness from him. Nor have I got a sense of belonging from him. To be successful I believe that he needs to feel as if he is a part of the club, he needs to feel what Spurs is about. It all felt a bit ' third party ' to me.

Dodged the question about bringing through youngsters.

Dodged the question about target for the season.

Used the word philosophy a lot.

Obviously struggles to express himself in English; hope he uses a translator in training.

I've spoken to about 6/7 ppl who went to training yesterday, and they ALL said that the most impressive players were Lamela, Soldado, Holtby, Ceballos and Townsend.

Something tells me that Spurs TV will fuck up the coverage today.

I think Holtby is one of the players who could do well in MPs high pressure system - lots of energy for chasing/closing down. Glad to see he is taking advantage of the opportunities without all the MFs in camp.

Rose, on the other hand, seems to be regressing if those videos are any indiction of his work.

Is Falque involved at all as I still believe he could make an impact as a squad player although encouraging news on Ceballos - perhaps a loan move to a PL club with any luck.

I'm starting to feel very excited, almost horny, like going to date after a long time of fap. I dont care is it friendly or not i'm just happy to see guys playing. Especially Lamela, Eriksen, Holtby, and Soldado are interesting to see under Poch's tactics. COYS!!!
