It's my birthday this weekend and im not looking forward to it :nailbiting:
Not going to be one to remember. I've gone out once in my life after a NLD defeat and ended up on a bus with 2 gooners on it at 3am. Needless to say I assaulted their ears with my anti-Arsenal song war-chest.

I am the whole game on a flight. If that is good or bad i dont know.

At the moment:
Lloris - Kaboul, Fazio, Vertonghen, Rose - Stambouli, Capoue - Eriksen, Lamela, Chadli - Soldado

Subs: Vorm, Dier, Naughton, Dembele, Bentaleb, Kane, Adebayor

Agree with those saying Adebayor should be dropped, I'm just not sure that the Arsenal game is the right game to drop him.

If there are two games that Adebayor is normally fully motivated for, it's against his former club Arsenal.

Yeah from recollection: Chadli was decent, Capoue was poor and as far as NLDs go it wasn't the most exciting match. Unlucky to not get a point

Lloris

Kaboul
Vertonghen
Fazio
Davies

Capoue
Chiriches

Lamela
Dembele
Eriksen

Chadli (False 9)

I would like to see Vlad as box to box, He has that turn of pace and flair that we need and he's also not afraid to try and take somebody on.
At first I laughed but looking at it more objectively and remembering who we are up against, there are merits to this eleven. Only I would play Rose ahead of Davies.

Sacrilege I know but until we get into poch's system I would not try to play "our style" vs "theirs" I would much prefer to soak it up and hit on the break our players need a tight game against one of the top four.

Loris
Dier Kaboul Verts Rose
Stambouli Capoue
Lennon Dembele Lamela
Ade

Hard working team 1-4-5-1 without the ball 1-4-4-1-1 Lamela behind Ade with it.

Basic shit.

----------Hugo----------
Naughton Fazio Vert Rose
-----Paulinho Chiriches---
Townsend Lamela Eriksen
-----------Soldado---------

Bentaleb just missed out to Paulinho. Whilst putting this team together it also dawned on me how fucking poor our squad is, not good enough frankly. A distinct lack of experienced creativity.

------------------Lloris (C)-----------------
Naughton--Fazio--Vertonghen--Rose
--------Capoue----Stambouli------------
Lamela-------Chadli---------Eriksen----
--------------Adebayor------------------

Subs: Vorm, Kaboul, Dembele, Bentaleb, Lennon, Soldado

Ade has been extremely poor I agree, but this isn't the game to start Soldado, we need a bigger figure upfront to challenge arsenal's tall centre backs - and ade is usually up for the games against them. The centre back partnership of Kaboul and Chiriches has to stop, and if they play together in this game we risk shipping at least 3 goals. I know its risky handing starts to Fazio and Stambouli, but I feel we have too. We need to take more risks in our play and attitude, like when Rose started against them at the lane a few years back, lets be unpredictable in selections. I feel harsh not taking Dier along with the subs, but Kaboul is club captain, so he is most likely to feature in some proportion.

Some of you have highlighted Lamela's ineffectiveness and I partially agree, but I think dropping him is the worst thing we could do. It would bring it all back to last season where he wasn't playing. For me he has to keep starting games no matter what - then we will see something. I think Chadli has been our best player so far this season, so for me he goes in to make those late runs into the box.

We will most likely have 60%+ possession in this game, with Arsenal being extremely dangerous on the break, and that is what has predominantly destroyed us this season. I am praying to the gods for this one to be honest! As its almost a certainty that Arsenal will score. I think a draw could be a good option, but a lot of it hinges on our front three sitting behind Ade. I think if those three players fail to turn up, our whole system is shot, and we can see that there isn't much of a plan B. We have to start quickly and be prepared to track back for 90 minutes, or this will be another 3 or 4. Arsenal are a good team, sad to admit it, but they're better than us, but if there was ever a time for our players to step up its now..

If We played two keepers, six at the back, eight in midfield and four up front i fancy then a score draw as We will concede.
Will anyone notice though.

Where is Naughton? [Ducks then runs outside! ]

Ha. Look, Dier may not be a great right back, but he's already a better footballer than Naughton. Naughton just offers nothing, to anything, at least Dier can score even if he can't defend.
