Villa fans were very quiet yesterday, in contrast our lot were the loudest I've heard Spurs fans at an away game, they were just magnificent. Would be nice to hear the players mention this.

People were moaning alot about younger fans being priced out and hardly surprising, we have effectively the most expensive season ticket in the premier league. People look at this table:
PL-tix-14-15-prices.jpg

Now you think that the we are second but the makes of the table overlook some key details. Tottenhams season ticket is for 21 games(including 2 cup games) and Arsenal's is for 26 games (7 cup games). The rest are for 19 games

Now if you take the average price;
Arsenal: cheapest season ticket, cost per game - £39 per game, most expensive season ticket, cost per game - £77
Tottenham: cheapest season ticket, cost per game - £38 per game, most expensive season ticket, cost per game - £90

Now the Arsenal costs are slightly higher then for the lowest season ticket BUT that was worked out on the average. If you consider that ours includes a Europa league play off match and a Carling cup match which are category B or C games then effectively their is cheaper as theirs includes at least 3 category B or A games(CL games)

Last season they got games these free: Fenerbahce, Chelsea, Napoli, Dortmund, Marseille, Tottenham And Coventry
Last season, we got these games free: Dinamo Tblisi and Tromso

The cost for those tickets was;
Arsenal: cheapest season ticket £985, avg price per game £38
Tottenham: cheapest season ticket £795, avg price per game £38

Its little wonder why the average of supporters is 41

Yeah, but all Londoners are rich and pay our benefits.

Yeah our fans were superb yesterday. Tbf I think Kane, Chadli and Poch all acknowledged them in their post match interviews.

its the membership points/season ticket system more than the price which is holding back younger fans if you ask me.

The average age of a season ticket holder will just increase year on year until we have a stadium of 70 year olds.

Remove season ticket renewal option from over 50s.

I'd be surprised if he makes any money. Last season I had to put my pair on for nearly half price and even then didn't get takers.

I haven't put any on there this season but have had a look and there's always loads of tickets available.

If any group are to blame it's the foreign tourist who sit there and do nothing except try and video most of the game on their phones or are taking photos of them and their mates rather than watching the game.

That's a good way to reward loyal fans!

In an ideal world, when the new stadium comes along, there'll be a suite of much more affordable tickets which aren't locked out by season tickets and which allow new, younger fans to start attending games.

In reality we'll increase prices, sell a big new chunk of season tickets, and increase the price of general sale tickets as well. Then for a couple of seasons it'll go well, until people stop coming just because of the new stadium and we start to have big gaps appearing in the stands, just like Arsenal do now at the Degenerates (60k per game, ha! As if).

The new stadium needs a "singing section" behind one of the goals which we should attack in the 2nd half. This should be for younger fans and/or fans that just want to make some noise without being looked at strangely. I never understood why we attack a silent Paxton in the 2nd half.

Maybe because we attack a silent Park Lane end in the first:LOL:

Bayern Munich's cheapest season ticket is around £130 if i remember correctly..

just sayin
Saw a report the other day, about a thousand English fans go to Dortmund for every home game, probably not the same ones but one guy from Dover went to Dortmund game and it cost him less than going to the arsenal.
Another thing apparently for fans with a match ticket all public transport in the home city is free, that'd save a bit on the oyster card:)

whether he makes money or not doesnt really interest me; the point is that if fans dont attend games theyre basically agents rather than fans due to StubHub so im not shocked about the deterioration in the atmosphere.
And its not hard for the club to experiment with a few 'non-Stubhub-able' games is it?

Of course not.

But if I can't go to a game I'd rather the ticket went to another spurs fan than a tourist who's sitting their videoing the game.
I don't believe for a second there's season tickets sitting there putting all their games on stubhub trying to make money out of the system, because if they are then they won't be very successful over the course of a season. The demand isn't there.

Strangely we historically score more than twice as many goals in the Paxton as opposed to the Park Lane!

I only heard the game on the radio (damm you Alan Green!) but the only sound during the whole match were the Spurs fans. Sounded great.

Agreed. There is no way that new stadium = more seats at cheaper prices, It will be the Emirates all over again.

While fans continue to pay it, Spurs will not see it as a problem, why should they if the demand is still there?

It's not great for me, as a fan traveling from outside of London as it makes the trip about the cost of a 4 bed semi in the North, but then I have little interest in going to the Lane these days anyway.

It's nothing new. If myself or other season ticket holders can afford it we will renew every year because once you give it up you screwed for many years to come. Even more so since all seater stadium and reduced capacities

Most season ticket holders will go to the ’big' games but I'm sure less and less go to all the games these days. You also have to consider being able to apply for cup tickets before anyone else

I like many others have been going since the days when it wasn't fashionable, in fact it was quite the opposite so loyalty etc should play a part. We are the club after all....
