That's funny jezz, I thought it was odd that no one agreed with me according to you,... it appears your data is incorrect.

But as Lamela's agent you are doing him proud -- keep it up!! (y):p

(now you can lighten up)

While we're kicking Lamela lol and as a person who thinks he has no future with us Id like to take this opportunity to comment on a earlier post regarding him. It said theyd been impressed by recent performances!!!!
Obviously didnt see Everton game then.
If we'd paid 5m for him he wouldnt be anywhere near this starting 11 imo.

One day he may come good but he looks bloody miles off at the moment for me.
Its like the will for AVB to come good so we can say to theworld 'told ya so'. Just a f kin embarrasment that we paid 30m and because of it some are wishing against all evidence that it'll work out.

I sense some replies coming my way lol.

Would like to remind a few of our 'supporters' that we are playing one of the very top sides in Europe here with possibly the best defense in Europe and one of the best midfields. We have a very young side and I for one am happy to see some signs of progress and development within it. We are creating a good side here with a young squad and an encouraging use of academy players.
Agree on all that. But I and we should never be ok with a loss, esp to London rivals. Still hurts

This. Sure Chelsea are quality, but that doesn't absolve our players of criticism tonight. Lennon should never have allowed that first goal to happen, and Vertonghen was poor for the second and third. Just has to be so much better in terms of resolve, and not allowing these simple mistakes to happen.

And Jesus we need some pace to help push back against these sides.

Yedlin's coming, fredericks may be in the back of poch's mind, walker is close to being back properly.

Can also see more pacey players being bought in the summer to suit poch's style.

This is true and a wonderful relief, but we need more in the attacking positions. Too many creative players who are too similar, and our pacey players are too predictable. Just one introduction who can make those two ends meet will provide a massive ripple effect in our attack production/opposition pinning back success.

We certainly need a top central defender. I hate the fact we are so poorly defensively year after year

What are you on about!? We come on here to discuss how good or bad we are as a side don't we ? How our players perform in each game ? We all love spurs but you can't blindly defend them when they are poor ? I don't think lamela is crap but tonight he was poor, offered nothing at all and was a show pony. Top pundits that have played the game are all saying the same tonight it was very obvious he was out of his depth tonight. So why would you defend him ? Because you love spurs ? You only have a positive view or opinion on individual players because you love spurs ? Is that not very very blinkered ? Get a grip

The truth lies somewhere in between, as usual, surely?

Me, I wouldn't have started Lamela tonight. The only justification for dropping Soldado (not that I'm a Poor Bobby fan) would have been to beef up the midfield, and 'beefing up' and 'Lamela' don't fall easily into the same sentence, although, give him his due, he isn't afraid of getting stuck in. I'd have gone with Stambouli or Dembélé. Then, what do I know?

Any coach/manager is between a rock and a hard place with Lamela. There's a fantastic talent there, and it just isn't going to blossom if you don't give it a chance. Giving it a chance is inevitably going to result in attempts at Hollywood passes and so forth. He's had, effectively, a third of a season in the EPL, so whilst I will throw up my hands and scream. 'WTF are you doing?' I'll remind myself he's just starting to find his way, and how amusing I found Ronaldo in his first season at United.

I think we played very well and the 3-0 scoreline is very, very harsh.

Up until they scored their first we looked the much better team. A very Spurs-esque 3 minutes meant the game was effectively put beyond us, but even after that, we re-grouped and looked likely to get back into it.

The intensity was there again, the work rate, the desire. I'm proud of them and very optimistic after this and the Everton matches. I think we're finally seeing Poch's plan coming to fruition.

I'm also prepared to eat humble pie over Kane, who I wrote off early in his career, but he looked excellent tonight, especially in the first half. Bentaleb also played very well tonight IMO.

Funny how a lot seem to think we played our best football when we lost 4-1 to city and now 3-0 to chelsea.

slaughtered on what I saw of motd
No, we were methodically beaten. motd can suck my dick.

We were on top for the first 20 and they sucker-punched us and then lloris made an error and they twatted us for it and then verts went all powder puff and they got the killing blow.

We played well, overall, against a beast machine. Had we taken one of our chances tonight (and we created a fair few) we could have mixed it with them a bit more.

The team that played against everton turned up again tonight, that's the most important thing.

I lost on both head to head leagues on dream team by 70 points to 71 in both. Sucks. Much more pissed off with that than losing to one of the strongest teams in Europe which are built on buying PROVEN quality at high cost.

On a lighter note, pre Everton, who would have been happy with a draw after how we'd been playing?
Then have been over the moon with a draw a Chelski?
We'd have had 2 points.

We got 3 muvva f kaas  (y)
