Exactly.

Ings and LFC have been talking since before Xmas. They have already agreed wages etc with Ings' people.

Not speaking to players before a bid is accepted is a myth that doesn't happen any more. Clubs nearly always approach the player/their agent nowadays before contacting the club formally.

Sussing out schools for the kiddies - we know that's a deal clincher!

Ah, I see you have returned now there is a chance of you're lot getting one over on us. :coffee:

They'll still have to look UP , to see our club though ;)

Even that's good in that Burnley, a small club will benefit more, and that the bindippers will have less to spend elsewhere.

Absolutely, mate. One would imagine, based upon the lack of success from signings made by 'The Brodge' , the purse strings at Liverpoo FC will be much harder for him to open from now on. If they're not, they really should be. This is a guy who claims his strikers ALL need to be improved upon, yet he has signed each and every one of them :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Despite what he says BR has very little say over signings. As part of his new contract discussions after we nearly won the league and he was in a position of strength he convinced the 'President' Mike Gordon to let him sign Lambert, Lallana & Lovren against the wishes of the other committee members. Obviously Lambert and Lovren have been an unmitigated disaster, Lallana less so as he has had a lot of disruptive injuries and most think he'll come good after a good pre-season.

Needless to say IF BR keeps his job he wont have overall say anymore on transfers and the other committee members will resume more control. The Committee bought Can, Markovic, Moreno, Balotelli, Origi (BR as agreed with this one though) and Manquillo. So I feel BR gets a lot of undeserved stick for our poor buys as it isn't like with Rafa where he had full control.

I don't really get it but yes every reliable Journo and ITK on LFC says Ings has already agreed personal terms with LFC and did so a while ago. Spurs ITKs word here is taken seriously here so I don't see why it should be different for LFC ITKs whose records are just as good.

I think it is taken seriously, but the Willian fiasco has shown us nothing is final until the contracts are signed.

Think it's a reference to someone making the claim that Suarez placing his kids in a local Nursery meant he wasn't going to leave Liverpool, the season he left.

Yeah, but that was while LFC still had hopes of Top 4. But then they finished 6th. Behind us.

WAHEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY :woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:

Ings doesn't care about top 4. It was obvious we weren't going to get top 4 when we first agreed terms with him.

I'm going to say this once and only once and never speak of it again.

Finishing above this seasons LFC with all the distractions and injuries we had and a Manager imploding day by day is hardly anything to be proud of. It'd be like me given it big guns to Saints fans because a terrible LFC team without a Sturridge all season finished above them. It'd be ridiculous.

And for the record I could have give it loads last season when we came second nearly winning the league and beat Spurs in every game and finished miles ahead but I didn't because 1) I'm not like that, 2) Finishing above that Spurs team with AVB and Tactics Tim was nothing special and 3) Its irrelevant and I have more respect as a guest here. Check my post history. Not one post even mentioning last season now or at the time. Petty tribalism adds absolutely nothing to football debate.

Anyway, back to Ings seeing as a lot of Spurs fans want to sign him for some reason, here's what we are hearing on our side from our decent Broadsheet Journos:

Indepent: http://ind.pn/1BuvvCW
Telegraph: http://bit.ly/1QfAPRt
Guardian: http://bit.ly/1HXcFZM

Some of the articles aren't about Ings but they peg on news about it at the end of the article. I would add that Papers can lag behind ITK in my experience/opinion so this may be old news. Also, this info has all come from LFC (nothing to do with FSG) as far as I can tell (where it usually comes from for these journos) so its only one side of the story and the club do seem to be on a bit of a PR transfer blitzkrieg to try and get the supporters back on side with BR.

I take it you've not read the entire thread then, which is understandable.

It has been determined that this bid does raise the tribunal fee regardless, as it qualifies as "substantiated interest." So yes, it would cost Liverpool extra should he ultimately choose to wait out the expiration of his contract and move to them.
Which is complete rubbish. Burnley could ask Man utd to bid 100 mill for him then turn it down. Makes no difference to tribunal

Some more than others. One of our most reliable has said he's not coming to us and that he's yours.

You did however snap back at me when I said I wasn't convinced that Rodgers could sort out Balotelli, you in turn said he definitely could.

True. How about finishing about you for 5 of the last 6 season? Anyway, at least everyone can now be I'm agreement that last season was a one off.
