Something similar KingSRV alluded to is happening at WBA. They let Izzy Brown, Jerome Sinclair and Yan Dhanda go (or they were pinched)

have you seen much of sinclair? he's leaving liverpool after rejecting a contract, he's always been highly rated but lost a year through injury. still only 18(19 in september) and made his 1st team debut just a few days after turning 16. he's quick and a decent finisher, if we were to pick him up he could fill that void we have between kane and the younger strikers we have, i'm guessing he'll be looking for 1st team football at this point though.

@DCSPUR beat me to it :D

I've seen games here and there, and never sought to watch hi specifically. I think the last game I saw outside of him coming on for Liverpool towards the end of the season was a game against Chelsea I think it was where he scored a really good solo goal.

From what I have seen he looks quick and is the type of player that can create goals for himself. I know he was massivley rated and sadly got injured. However, like you said I would take him to fill that void. We don't know how Coulthirst will come on this year, but I am unjustifiably optimistic. Harrison I have always liked but we need to see how he gets on then obviously Sterling is behind him. He would definitely fill the void.

The thing is, and I haven't opened up the link so apologies if figures are in there, if he has rejected a contract knowing Liverpool that are most likely paying him more than we would pay him. So I don't know how much we would be willing to stick him on and if he would be happy with it. The big differnce though is he doesn't have 6 strikers and some wingers playing in front of him. Whereas we only have Kane and still need wingers, so he may sacrifice money knowing that if he did well in our u21s he would get a genuine shot at coming through a PL club which would earn him more in the future.

I also don't imagine the comp fee would be very big as it is only 2 years worth of development so ye, I'd pick him up if I'm honest, win win as if Harrison or Coulthirst had a great year, we'd be selling any of them on for a profit

Filip Lesniak has left #THFC after the completion of his contract. Spurs offered him an extension but he refused to sign.

That is a bit disappointing, but with the competition these days I think we'll see more of this. Always looked ok when I saw him play and was composed in his play in the centre of the park, and hopefully he can forge a decent career.

Short term loan is interesting. A few possibilities, I think. Short term loan with view to buy? Hoping for a better loan in the 2nd half of the season if he does well? Planning on promoting him to the first team in January?

short term simply because if they dont play him we can bring him back and send him elsewhere.

if he does well they will just extend it.

It's possible that Rotherham aren't confident enough in him to give him a full season loan. I doubt we would sell Ward, and if we were to use him I'd think it'd be in Europa group stage.

I'd be surprised if it's anything to do with Rotherham's confidence, but I guess we'll see.

Re: Sinclair.

Based on nothing at all apart from my own conjecture, I doubt he would sign for us. He's either leaving Liverpool to find a club where he can get closer to the first team, or for a stupidly massive pay rise. I don't think he's find either with us.

I reckon he'll end up signing for a lower end PL team or an ambitious champ team where he's more likely to get first team minutes.

You don't think a striker would be closer to the first team at Spurs than Liverpool? For us, he'd be behind Kane, possibly Oduwa. For Liverpool, he's got Sturridge, Ings, Borini, Origi, Lambert and Aspas ahead of him. Also, we're prone to overpay other club's youngsters - remember Fryers?

Re Sinclair, I think if we were tempted, we'd need to have a long chat with him to understand what he was trying to achive.

- Left WBA at age 14 to go to Liverpool
- Year out due to injury, after making debut for Liverrpool aged 16, not sure how good he's really been since coming back from injury.
- A year left on his Liverpool contract, but wanting to move on - but not yet aged 19.
- Last season made 11 starts and came off bench twice for Liverpool's u21's and scored 4 times, 7 starts and 6 goals for Liverpool's u19 UEFA Youth League team.

Can see him being disruptive if we took him on without some clear talking - wonder if he's been influenced by Sterling.

Sinclair would be a pretty direct rival to Harrison, and might also affect Sterling's progress too.

Think we might be able to find a young striker who is as good but less baggage, if we wanted to buy a young striker, who was closer to the first team than Harrison.

I think we are hoping he will impress to then go out on loan to a PL team, like Walker at QPR (in the championship), who came back and went to Villa.

Isn't he about the age you said we should be looking at for strikers?

My couple doubts over him would be the fee. I wouldn't be comfortable really paying much. He hasn't comlpletely torn up the u21s and had a long injury lay off there's massive risk. He also isn't the talent of say Roberts but he does have a lot of ability worth bringing for a minimal fee.

The second issue is like Sterling I think that these players that move clubs when they're young tempted by money anyway lose any connection with the club and like you say can be disruptive. He wouldn't be first team just yet and would have to prove himself but if he is paid more like you say he could be disruptive, and I get the impression wouldn't show any loyalty whatsoever if he did come through

Isn't he about the age you said we should be looking at for strikers?

I think slightly more first team ready, but like I said for low money and not massive wages relative to our youngsters bring him in. Sell him the plan and easier pathway than money
