Surpsied its quite. Wouldve expected the club to leak a bunch of transfer news to improve the mood of fans after Saturday
I'm pretty sure that Levy (quite rightly) doesn't give a fuck about the mood of a handful of complete nutcases/idiots and morons who don't know how to handle their team losing a football match but can probably take catching their mrs being backscuttled by four dwarf acrobats, a geezerbird juggler from Bulgaria and a donkey in their stride.

It would be rather nice if we discussed ITK in here and not your frustration at our transfer policy or how long/when we make signings. We've always been this way. Always. For us and for other clubs. You want business done early? Write to chrome dome……...It isn't going to change now and worse, it isn't for this thread.

I'm not Levy's biggest fan but even I understand that it isn't like pulling a rabbit out of his arse but it isn't even that, its now got to the stage where the same people are saying the same things. "If we sign player X,Y and Z it'll be a great window"…….Really? No shit Sherlock. Or the fantasy 'why Berahino isn't done/when will Berahino be done' stuff…….take it to his thread, its being talked about in there too you know.

It would just be nice not to have to trawl through pages of pretty much the same thing every day, the same soundbites, the same arguments……...we get it, some of you are unhappy. It isn't the opinions that are depressing, its the repetative nature of them…………For the love of god give it a fucking rest, its making my eyes bleed.

Thank you.

Rant over.
You're absolutely right. I'm going to STFU between now and the last day of the window in this thread (unless we have news to rejoice over). As my dear old granny used to say "If you can't say anything nice, then don't say anything at all".

Let's hope N'jie is announced soon. :)

Where can I get a ticket to that circus?? (in a non participation seat)

JJ has been saying since Poch took over that we won't be signing 'names' anymore, rather young hungry players who slot effectively into our system. That's exactly what Berahino and Nigel are.

Best knick name ever.........

Few bits.

Still looking for 3 in. Forward targets are unchanged and I'm told "are likely". CM, still pursuing the Germans, and I have been given another name who was not originally considered as it was thought it would be too difficult. His agent thinks it is doable and has been in contact with the club. Still believe we will be trying for the Germans first, but would be more than happy with the alternative should that be the way we end up going.

Still looking to move players on and we could still see as many as 4 non first teamers leave permanently. Ade's people are still in discussions with Villa, and it will all come down to how much he wants to play as atm he is being incredibly awkward. He knows should he not move he will be frozen out. There has been interest in a couple of our "not for sale players" which as yet has been given short shrift by levy.

I know people are frustrated by the lack of anything visible happening, but this really is a case of nothing has really changed as far as targets and likely exits are concerned, and imo is very much the case of no news is good news.

Trix and JJ in with the positivity.

Cheers guys. Thanks for the info.

Let's wait and see how @mikeeegreen manages to twist these to be depressing,

Nice one @Trix

Really think people are being daft thinking we aren't actively trying to strengthen and underestimate the complexity of a transfer in the real world.

I'm excited about our future - I'll only cast doubts if come September things haven't changed. Plenty of time to make it happen.

It's ridiculous yeah. Its almost as if there is a £400m plus development that the club is saving for.
That's been the convenient excuse for the last few years. I presume if we do buy anyone else some people will be on here complaining that were spending too much money.

I like that things are still fairly positive by all accounts.

Strikes me that Ze Germans will be a difficult negotiation, regardless of what team it is as it strikes me that the majority of the German teams are incredibly efficient with their financial moves.

I think @Trix 's info tells us that Soldado is leaving as well, as he always said 2 in, but a third (another forward player) would be very possible if we moved on certain players, which I assumed to mean both Adebayor and Soldado, with the latter never being a nailed-on outgoing.

Thanks for the info.

Fuck me, this is my 20,000th post.

I need help.

(Not as much as @mikeeegreen though)

It's great news to hear that we are still taking central midfield seriously

Nice postive update from Trix. Four non first team players could still go then....three are obvious - Ade, Soldado and Lennon. Fourth I imagine is Townsend.
