let's keep this in perspective -- looked a tired team facing a rested, motivated derby opponent in crappy conditions away from WHL with a bit of a dodgy ref....

only the 4th loss of the season, and it was a derby loss at that, 1-0 with a fortunate headed goal at the near post from a corner.

can't wait for saturday when they do the gooners!! COYS!!!!!!!!!!! :woot::mask::singing:

We were due a performance like this. Its now out of the way so lets move on. I am sure the players are beating themselves, so although its no consolation, this loss might turn out to be a blessing in disguise which could lead us to beating Arsenal on Saturday. This season we have not had consecutive poor games so why should this be any different. We will beat Arsenal and to be honest I believe Watford will beat Leicester, so come lets get back on and continue to enjoy the ride. I have faith so should you COYS!

I didn't see the game. Were we better in the 2nd half? Because by all accounts Billic did a tactical number on us in the first half and I'm a bit dissapointed we didn't have an answer such as changing our own system to counter it.

How do you know we didn't? I never saw the game either so we might not have done, but I suppose what i'm saying is we might have tried something to counter it and it simply didn't work.
We played much much better in the second half. We were the better team IMO but we failed to take advantage of a make shift defence, especially when Collins was replaced with a rookie

I always find Tony Gale to be a curse when covering our games, anyway he had to go on mute from about the 6th minute, not sure how i tolerated him for that length of time.

I mean some of the shit he comes out with 'media been talking up spurs for the title, when west ham have a chance of something big - finishing in the europa league places' - yeah thats right europa league is bigger than going for the title.

Wish someone would have reminded him they got knocked out in the qualifiers by some vauxhall hatchback..

After needing penalties to beat the third best team in Malta.

I don't agree I think N'Jie has shown nothing other than speed. His distribution is very poor and he just runs up dead ends and if you think he is going to give us something extra on the run in then you arte going to be dissapointed.

He's played barely more than three games worth of football for us. Come off it. He's had precious little chance to actually do anything yet and you're writing him off. Remember how Lamela's first season for us went and now look at how important he is to the team.

Hope our fans can create a similar atmosphere on sat, you can see what a difference it makes.

Payet is some player, one of the best in the league IMO. Wish we had someone with that level of creativity.

I hope we have a ref who gives us a free kick every time one of the Goons comes within ten feet of us on Saturday...

Would be nice wouldn't it? That has been our last 4-5 games now, everytime we get anywhere near someone they get a foul yet they can steamroll us and get nothing.

Such a weird game, still just think we didn't look fussed, which I can't remember this season. Maybe pressure, but felt like we had two eyes on the weekend rather than today.

Not really sure why the media's making such a big deal of West Ham's performance because it felt like a washout of s game.

The way we play, the DM Dier usually drops in to the defence and the fullbacks push into the midfield. Mason, Trippier and especially Davies were outright fucking dogshit and given they were the 3 who should have been making the middle of the pitch work it's not surprising we were outplayed all over the pitch

You really talk dross.

To suggest that any of those players out their on the pitch last night were "fucking dogshit" defies logic, any common sense and shows just how fucking immature you are.

The only thing that is "dogshit" is your post, and it's full of it by the way.

I felt the same, was a strange game and a strange one to watch too. Was unlike any other game this season and I can't really put my finger on why. I felt like we missed a bit of passion and aggression from the likes of Rose, Walker and Alli. Seemed a passive and tepid display.

What we learnt today...........

1: Rose and Walker are the number one fullbacks really missed their energy and pysicality today..
2: Chadli is not a starter
3: Lamela is not a starter against aggressive teams like West Ham
4:Kane looks knackered need Njie back asap to offer some pace up front off the bench
5:Dembele needs to come back asap

1: Why haven't you posted this over the last 28 PL games?
2: Why haven't you posted this over the last 28 PL games?
3: Why haven't you posted this over the last 28 PL games?
4: Agree
5: Doh

What we have learned today is that fans know no bounds when looking for scapegoats, when we get beaten by the better team on the night.

Moved to the USA this year. A season ticket holder for twelve years at home. However because I never did the whole travelling away thing, I didn't get to see the whole picture. This season in the states I get to watch every game on the box (thank you NBC and FS1). This season we have been outstanding in every game. We deserved to beat Utd, Newcastle and Leicester. However today the poison atmosphere and the homer referee didn't help, the replay of the goal clearly shows that Antonio pulled the defender (Chadli ithink) back for the goal. That being said, we were bullied, really bullied! Had we started with Dembele and Ali it would have been a different story. I'm not worried though, we're the best team in the league and we will smash the gooners at the Lane and win the league. COYS

Can we send Kane on Holiday? Hes been fucked for weeks. Im not sure he jumped for a single header all night. Lucky we bought another centre forward in the summer though...
He genuinely look knackered. Unless the ball was at his feet or directly in front of him so he could run in a straight line, he never looked like getting there.

May I add, the pitch was like Hackney Marshes. how can the F.A. allow it! It played right in to the hands of the long ball merchants, #BIG SAM LIVES (my first hash tag, which I don't really understand, they just do it on the men in blazers show in the U.S. often).
