Thought I would update a recent post regarding the run in:

Leicester have points in the bag, but three tough games to finish the season. They will not get 9 points from those games. Will they be champions before then?

Arsenal and Man City have the easiest fixtures. Both teams can be flat track bullies and will pick up points. Their game with each other will have a huge impact on their respective final positions.

Man Utd's next three scheduled league games are tough and will be must win due to the likes of Spurs hopefully having picked up points. They will have two rescheduled games which will also be must win.

West Ham have the toughest run in of the teams currently in the top six.

Not an exact science, but good for comparative purposes.

I'm not sure what game some people on here watched but I never felt we were gonna do anything but win. We'd had 9 shots to their 2 after about 20 min and we'd hit the crossbar yet some thought 'they're gonna score in a minute' ????
We didn't get out of second gear. Didn't have to.
Kane is on fire. Good news.
Lloris' kicking has always been questionable. Surprised it only now seems to be coming to light.
And I agree, bizarrely teams who score a shitload in one game more often than not fk up the following game. Please note the 'more often than not' and dont find me an example. I've been watching football for enough years to know it happens.
Its an X file.

I really think we're gonna win the league.
Never thought I'd say that :)

Leicester are better, a lot better, than each of the 3 teams they play at the end of the season. Don't be suprised last game of season, Chelsea with nothing to play for and cemented say 7th place, play 5 or 6 kids and treat it like a friendly. They won't want Spurs winning it.

Interesting to note that we despite our lofty position we only beat two of our final eight opponents in the first meeting.

Only 10 points out of a possible 24. Will need 18 out of 24 to win the league.

Wins: Bournemouth (H), Southampton (H),

Draws: Liverpool (A), Stoke (A), WBA (H), Chelsea (A),

Losses: Man Utd (H), Newcastle (A)

E8spur……so pleasing to read a well thought out sensible thread like yours. I can only believe most of our fans are young and desperate for success, after seeing the moneybags teams going about buying the Premiership for the last few years. As a fan of 58 years standing I'm more than content to see where we are in the league and should we happen to win it then I'll be as happy as a pig in shit knowing that I can kick the bucket with a smile on my face thanks to Mauricio and our bean counter.

Exactly the opposition we needed after 2 games without winning. They were so poor. They were open from the first minutes and we should have finished them off after 10 minutes.

I thought we were good but we need to be more clinical. Sometimes a bit sloppy in possesion too.

How good was Toby again.

Leicester could quite easily win the last 3 games guys, especially if there still top.

United will be in even more turmoils as by then top4 will probably be pretty much mathematically impossible

Everton have had a VERY poor home record this season and thet have nothing to play for, they will be coasting witg players 1 foot on the plane for euros

And chelsea will play kids, and not play at any kind of level to stand much chance of winning v a team of raging lunatics who are giving their lives for that trophy on the last day.

We desperatly need a MASSIVE favour from rafa tomoz so we can really apply the pressure....5 point gap is tooo comfy for them.
COME ON YOU BARCODES, if i lived closer id buy a ticket to cheer the damn geordies on ffs!

Did we not win the game today? Jesus Christ.

It wasnt a stellar performance, no, but not even the best manager in the world could completely motivate his team to take a game 100% seriously against the team rock bottom who couldnt buy a win.

We were incredibly unlucky to not be 4-0 up at half time but let's let the simpletons on here conclude that "well we scored twice, and Villa should have scored twice in the last 10 minutes, that means we were lucky and poor today".

Honestly, before the game some of you were worried we wouldnt win, then when we do win it wasnt a good enough win.

You fucking wingebags

One thing which was as obvious as it has been all season is that for us to have any chance of probably even finishing top 3, Harry Kane absolutely must stay fit. I don't want to see him against Dortmund.

Thanks for replying, I obviously disagree for reasons outlined, but if you think Trippier looks good against poor opposition shouldn't he be playing against Villa rather than Dortmund ?

...no - because the point is to win the League and not some worthless tin pot tourney...
