Lloris Vorm
Walker Trippier
Alderweireld Fazio
Vertonghen Wimmer
Rose Davies
Dier Mason
Dembele Bentaleb Carroll
Lamela Njie
Alli Son
Eriksen Pritchard
Kane Chadli

As it stands this is our squad should we not sign anyone. I would replace those in bold with the following:

Cameron Carter Vickers for Fazio
Kirchhoff/ Wanyama and Ward for Bentaleb and Carroll
Mane/ Lacazette for Njie
Mitrovic/ Batshuayi for Chadli

Like your thoughts. Personally I'd give N'Jie & Bentaleb another season though. Townsend wasn't replaced so room for N'Jie.

The options you provided are interesting. PL experience Vs young and talented.

I don't think mitrovic is good enough for us now we're CL chasing. Mane has some class about him. Dm's I rate both you listed.

Think it's clear to everyone where we need to strengthen though!

What we need to strengthen: Central midfielder, winger/forward, striker.

If we're being really picky: Fullback.

I thought he said that about Toby?

Yeah that was recently, but for some reason I seem to remember a couple of years ago, the Belgium manager was saying something along the lines of Chadli is capable of everything & is always going to be selected. I believe he was keeping either Fellaini or Dembele out of the team? I must've read it on here because I don't frequent any other Spurs site

Yes he said this prior to the 2014 world cup. Then proceeded to start Chadli in the opening match and never again.

I personally think he's overhyped & overrated, so would also be ridiculously overpriced. I'd expect Everton would demand at least £50mil, then I expect his wage demands would also be in line with the ridiculous price tag, upwards of £100k p/w, perhaps?

I also think he's a greedy sod, and isn't much of a team player, so perhaps isn't best suited to what Poch wants/expects?

As I said, just my opinion (y)

He's a rough diamond for sure but we do have one of the best coaches in the game. If anyone can improve him it's Poch.

He also offers us something different and can change the game with a bit of magic.

It would be a risk but he has the skills all fans love to see at WHL.

Pochettino doesn't automatically improve every single player. Plenty are beyond his reach, they have to buy-in to his thing. There is in reality a specific type of player Pochettino can improve. I don't know what kind of personality this Barkley has, but I would be surprised to see him for Spurs.

There isn't a specific player.

There are players who listen and learn and those who don't.

We don't know what type of player Barkley is as Martinez has been shown to be a limited coach.

Joe Cole had some similar faults in his game but Mourinho coached him into a very dependable and effective player.

Just seen schniderlin wasn't playing today. Seems like he's being wasted at UTD. He would definitely add something to our midfield.

Bayern sold him at the right time. Struggled with injuries and hasn't quite been the same since. Still a good leader with lots of experience.

Occasionally seeing Bolasie mentioned making my finger hover over the WFT rating. Does he have good stats on Football Manager or something? From where I'm sitting in my armchair I'm just not seeing it.

Why on earth are you looking at getting rid of N'Jie already?

He's a young player acclimatising to a new league and also suffered a fair amount of injury problems, although showed promise.

Give the lad a chance dude...
