Not sure how you came to that impression.
Thought it was a good test to see where he's at, against good players and in a fairly big match environment.

His strength and pace gave the Swiss an outlet, but didn't offer much movement, and doesn't seem a natural striker who knows where to move in and around the box.
Definitely a lot of tools in the box but for the money quoted he'd still need a fair bit of work.

What do you think a neutral observer would have said about Kane's performance against a very shit Russia and pretty shit Wales for 45 minutes ?
The kid's what 19? Playing against one of the best national teams in the world. He's very raw, he's got a shit load lot of learning to do, and I do think he's being over priced based on the new reality/potential discrepancy valuation placed on any young kid who can kick a ball straight these days, but a he is capable of better than he showed tonight, whether he's capable of realising the potential he's showed this far and developing into something more, who knows?
