16m sounds waaay to steep imo. Hes a decent player but wont get the time nor the space he has in the dutch league!

Decent as i said but i dont expect him to be the 15 goal off the bench striker we need.
12-16 mill is still good value in this market. He is their League's top scorer, Holland's international centre forward, age 22 and is known for his work ethic, both on and off the field. Sounds exactly like a Poch signing to me. Who else would you get for that money? The fact Deeney was quoted as north of £20 mill puts in in context.

I am stuck in a time warp. You don't think pace is essential? So be it.

Maybe for wingers or full backs but plenty of attacking players don't possess a great amount of pace and are still exceptional players ie. Kane, Alli & Eriksen are three main examples on a Spurs level. None have blistering pace but their game isn't hampered by it.

More recently RVP, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, Pirlo, Lampard, Scholes. Need I say any more?

Pace is one of many attributes that can be associated with a player, not the most desirable on my list. A player with a 'brain' and tactical awareness can make up for some yards lost on a football pitch.

The thing is Sanchez, Walcott and Welbeck from one certain team have one thing in common (pace) which then accommodates Giroud. You then have Hazard, Willian, Oscar, and that guy they got from Barca, which then accommodates Costa. Hopefully I have made my point. I am not convinced in Son, but wil give him a season, along with N'Jie, before someone throws their names in to counter my argument.

I get what youre saying and agree. I think our pressing & pace of play helps allay some fears of individual quickness. Our wingers are quick but not fast if that makes sense...pacey in short distances.

L'Equipe say PSG are interested in Janssen...can anyone translate?

Edit- It may actually say 'advanced negotiations/discussions'. Great.

We will soon find out. You cannot turn a snail into Bolt. Of course it is an oxymoron, but you get my point.

His genetic predisposition to a particular fiber type determines how quick he will be but actually training and targeting fast twitch muscle fibers will absolutely help develop acceleration. Even a marginal increase means the world in sports. Long as he can improve on his acceleration and use it to get ahead of his markers and use his body to great effect.

Does seem to suggest discussions are advanced. Suggests they are looking for a young, reasonably cheap back up.

I'm sure the offer and wages would be tempting for him, but I think he'd be daft, but then again, he'll be spending plenty of time on our bench so I'm not sue it would be any dafter than joining us, he might as well get better paid for it and Blanc does play 433 with two strikers sometimes.

So now we're left with a Paraguayian striker who isn't someone most of us knew about 2 weeks ago. And I'm being hit with Digger Hire adverts even though holding a screwdriver makes me shake like a shitting dog in the same way Doherty made me shake when he was the fulcrum of our attacking prowess back in the 90s. Time for bed, gents.

Blanc is gone...its Unai Emery. Not sure how that factors into things..

Why would psg pay for him when alot more experienced strikers would be alot more likely or most likely would be lacazette
