That's because HE is shit and is using HIS birth abnormalities to take advantage of the women in their races which is the whole point people are making on here, on the TV, around the world etc.

#naive

That you think that issue is such a clear case of absolutes shows you are the one who is naïve. But then after all the shit you spouted about Djokovic we already know you don't have a clue what you're on about.

I'm not getting involved in the current debate, but I have really enjoyed the Olympics as a whole, and am sorry they're over.

However, what I'm really posting for is to ask some kind soul to give me a positive rep, cos I'm on 666 and it's bothering me. (The number's following me everywhere at the moment and is actually freaking me out a little). Thanks!

Amazing effort by Team GB. To be the first country to win more medals after hosting the previous games is an amazing achievement. Good to see all that lottery money being used to good effect.

She's not even that quick. Her PB the other night was just the 20th quickest time in history. Women in the 70's and 80's have run quicker. It's not as if she is constantly break the world record and doing times that "normal" women haven't and couldn't do.

Alright then.

In keeping with the spirit of this thread over the past couple of weeks, I'm going to make a scientific judgement based on your answer to one simple question:

Did you knock one out over the women's 800m medal ceremony?

In the spirit of the Olympics (for what that is worth in the modern day) it is athletes competing against each other as like for like as possible. Hence the drug testing and so on.

It's not a slight disadvantage it's much more than that because you also have the mental aspect. Much harder to train knowing you will never win no matter how hard you try.

The actual fix for this would be to create a new category for hyperandrogenism so they compete against each other because although it is not Semenya's for how he/she was born there is no denying this was a calculated decision to use some of those benefits to win races against women where he/she could never do that against the men.

I read somewhere that black athletes also have a genetic advantage over non black athletes. So should we also have a black category?

I agree something should be done but its not like semanya was always a man then decided to be a woman when she realised she could through the backdoor in a few races against women,

This is a gender issue and has nothing to do with colour so stay on topic. The fact is men have more testosterone than women and in the case of Semanya this is to his/her advantage.

He/She has decided she wants to be a woman when everything about her/him suggests there is more manly aspect than female. She/he has used this to her/his advantage and there is no getting away from it now matter how much people try and play it.

Really enjoyed the Olympics, some truly great sporting moments and excellence. What sports would you like to see added or dropped for Tokyo??

Personally I think football should be dropped and possibly the golf, winning the Olympics should be the pinnacle in your sport not just another competition. Not convinced by the merits of the dancing horses either.

Apparently they're going to have bloody baseball in the Tokyo

I ended our last conversation because you had nothing of substance to add other than laughably suggesting I need to be a qualified drugs tester to prove Djokovic is a cheat.

Then again this is all you have when that one quote from Dick Pound proves my point. I won't repeat it because I can tell from your reply you read it. :)

Random Wikipedia facts of shitty tournaments did nothing to divert from the fact that in an Olympic year Djokovic is shit when it matters. You don't think he wants a gold medal? He sure does but the risk of getting caught is too high so he tries without the drugs and then exits in the first round in tears.

You are so naive.

You have had a lot to say during the Olympics. Most of it is you spouting your views almost trying to contradict everyone else as some sort of substitute for some clear real life failings.

In regards to Semenya there is clearly an issue for the women's sport and until this is addressed it will not encourage potential women to compete.

If you cannot see this or the other two brutes who won silver and bronze in the same race then you need to get off the computer and book an eye test.

You shall now be ignored to save you from further mockery

Some racial or ethnic groups may have advantages over others in certain disciplines but these differences aren't so big to completely preclude the chance of people of other groups being competitive against them. I.E. The best sprinters are generally black people who can trace their ancesty back to West Africa, as they tend to have more fast switch fibres, but a white man still got a bronze in the 200m men's final and a white female got a silver in the 200m women's final. And a black swimmer won a medal in the swimming, where white athletes tend to do better. East Africans tend dominate long distance running because they have a higher than average proportion of slow switch fibres, yet Paula Radliffe holds the world marathon record for women and a white runner got a bronze in the men's Olympic marathon.

But the difference between men and women is so big that it means that if they competed together, not a single woman would have a single chance of achieving any kind of success, and essentially women would be denied the possibly of having a sporting career, and allowing gonads into women's sport is denying women opportunities and it's a blow against female progression.

Agreed. I think the football is a joke in it's current form. The history of the Olympics was all about amateurs but now we have Neymar hijacking it for a gold medal. Why is he even there when he is one of the world's best players.

It would be great if perhaps they said the players need to come from the lower leagues or something like that.

Great that we got another gold from golf but like you why is it even back in the Olympics? When Serigo Garcia tweeted "It's official, I'm an Olympian!" I had to laugh.

Walking around playing a game you enjoy and having someone else carry your clubs does not make you an Olympian you numpty. I'd be embarrassed if I were him.

Enjoyed the sport but still think it was a failure on behalf of Rio and I wonder how they were ever awarded the World Cup and two years later the Olympics for a country with so many problems.

Don't think I saw one event where there were not empty seats. Compare that to London and even the marathon the streets were lined. Add to this the shambles that is going to be the Paralympics and I think this will set it back after the best ever in London.

I would imagine it will be good in Tokyo and venues packed.

Sure did which means he didn't even make the final and considering just after that he miraculously became great and then shit in 2012 and then great and then shit in 2016 means you are not paying attention.

He won the Australian Open that year (after having reached the Final of the 2007 US Open), before the Olympics. Also, in 2012, he lost the Bronze Medal match- hardly 'shit'. In fact, this Olympics is the only time he's performed poorly.

Your theory, if I understand it correctly, that Djokovic dopes all the time apart from before the Olympics (as he may get caught), is laughable.
