These Games have been terrible for amateur boxing. These boxers have worked hard for 4 years and are getting robbed by corrupt or incompetent judges.

Some judges like the aggression and others are more technical. Gutted for Joyce and he really went for it but simply fact is, and I hate saying it considering he was an arrogant French tosser, but he hit the cleaner punches and takes the points.

Agree, but it's hardly shocking. Been going on in Boxing as long as I can remember.

The French guy looks the better boxer in all fairness but he didn't really do enough to win that fight, and there's clearly a degree of luck in what judges you get and they need to go back to the old system.

I don't think Joyce will have much of a pro career and Anthony Johnson would make quick work of him.

It is a much wider and interesting topic but she is not a HE the same way that men with higher oestrogen levels arent women.

Apparently there are more cases of hyperandrogenism than semanyas case but we don't see them all winning in the women's events and all losing in the mens events. Im sure i have higher testosterone levels than these female athletes yet it doesnt mean ill win a race w6nd fuck i wont win a race ever.

There is a slight disadvantage for women im not rejecting or disputing the notion but its like saying white guys are at a disadvantage against black guys in the blue ribbon events. Or someone having longer legs therefore longer strides.

She's got a pair of bollocks! If she wants to compete equally all she has to do is get them removed, like others have done. We're potentially witnessing the death of female athletics. What is to stop an average male athlete having a sex change but keeping his bollox, then dominating other events? Or even a run of the mill footballer doing the same? It was just Semenya in 2012 but her success led to women with bollox being inspired and now all the medals in the 800m were won by women with bollox. God knows what it will be like in 2020.

If you were a teenage girl good at sport why would you even bother taking up athletics when you know there are women with bollox who've got a proportion of the 10-12% advantage men naturally by having bollox?

In the spirit of the Olympics (for what that is worth in the modern day) it is athletes competing against each other as like for like as possible. Hence the drug testing and so on.

It's not a slight disadvantage it's much more than that because you also have the mental aspect. Much harder to train knowing you will never win no matter how hard you try.

The actual fix for this would be to create a new category for hyperandrogenism so they compete against each other because although it is not Semenya's for how he/she was born there is no denying this was a calculated decision to use some of those benefits to win races against women where he/she could never do that against the men.
