According to the stats, we've passed the ball 212 times. I would love to know how many of those actually went to Spurs players.

Agree. Lots of talent but just doesn't seem to have grasped the team aspect of the game yet. So frustrating to watch sometimes.

If we want to be challenging the best he's not good enough to be starting these types of games

A joke by poch here tbh. We all knew rolling out the 4232 with the standard tactics would get us nothing and yet hes persisted!

Pre-season intensity since WBA. We've always been poor against teams that press us but I thought we'd at least put in a better effort. Poor tactics aren't helping either.

When your nerve and bottle go this is exactly the performance you put in.
Can't pass the ball, lead in the boots, lack of energy and no quality whatsoever.
Been an embarrassing shambles from the first minute.
A young team that has frozen again on the big stage. Shame.

Such a naive performance. I've never seen so many wayward passes and not understanding that you don't have time on the ball against Liverpool.

Mane is known as one of the best AM and likely most quick and direct in the league, We play Ben Davies left back with Son in front of him. Tactically that is suicide and i'm actually lost as to why Poch didn't see that.

As crazy as it sounds, i would have preferred 3 at the back and GKN at LWB to nullify Mane. We look so much better with 3 at the back. Dembele and Wanyama are more compact and it massively plays into Alli and Eriksens strengths.

This is nothing to do with he formation. We're simply not pressing them well enough or keeping possession when we have it. We're getting totally outfought and outplayed. Poch needs to give them a rocket at half time to stop us wilting completely.

Three at the back worked because Vertonghen naturally covered the left wing back and Rose/Walker have the pace to get up and down. I don't think 3 at the back would necessarily fix this today.
Wimmer? Alright he's not Verts but he's left footed. Honestly can't be any worse than Dier has been today can he? I'd leave Davies for now but move him to LWB. I'd bring Wimmer on for Son and try the formation we were doing well with.

Should be game over, lucky to get in at 2-0. On the plus side they're weak defensively, if we can get one then maybe, maybe we're back in this

This is so typical, so Spursy! There really is no excuse for starting these games so badly and expecting to do it all in the second half. The players need to look at themselves, United, City and now Liverpool, all the same!
