2nd to all 50/50 balls are going to cost us this game dearly if we are not reacting to them sharper.. Everything is by such small margins we can only hope things turns better for us in the 2nd half with any loose balls in our favours.. Any bounces and touches and droppings of balls from long balls going to Liverfools favours were atrociously high!!

Liverpool want it more and our lot haven't got the bollocks to fight their way back into it!! Absolutely pathetic performance from so called professionals!!! They've done fuck all so far in their careers and they will have a record of having done fuck all when they retire, if they carry on like this!!!!

FUUUUUUUCK!!!! I'M SO FUCKING ANGRY!!!!!:mad::mad::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Poch's set up has been disastrous and he's don't fuck all to change the shape mid half. We've played right into their hands. Have we not watched how teams have been troubling them? High line, flat back four. Jesus wept.

The humane thing to do would be to put Davies out of his misery.

Winks must come on. With Wimmer.

Winks and GKN should come on half time.

Liverpool are playing well but it's basic stuff, attack the weak link but Poch isn't responding.
They're beating us all over the pitch let's not kid ourselves into thinking it's all Ben Davies' fault.

I don't know about anyone else but I honestly wouldn't be distraught to see the back of Son in the summer. I genuinely don't think he has the mentality we are looking for.

He could score two in the second half but this half his performance has been his worst for us.

Son will definitely be off in the summer imo.

Even the guy doing the BBC live text knows what the problem is:

Embarrassing we've let them play the exact way they want by playing exactly how they wanted us to.
The ONLY real criticism of Potch is that we just have the one way of playing which is fairly high line, possession football around the opponents box, we don't have the pace to play deep and counter but even if we did I don't think we'd play that way under Potch.

I really hope he changes it at HT.

Poch is as much to blame as they are today, basically handed them this on a plate with the way we setup to play.

If Poch hsd set up in any number of combinations it would not have matteted a shit.

You have to have desire and dicipline and neither of that was evident.

I've never been a fan of Davies and done a posy about it last week when I got 5 dislikes. I am wondering if they would agree a bit with me now? He looks nervous and making mistakes, he doesn't know whether to get tight to drop off, he's not exactly getting much cover either. Mane is just taking the piss out of him unfortunately.

There has been a glimmer of hope, Son should have squared it to Kane and we've had a couple of half chances. I can see us scoring a couple of goals but I can also see Liverpool scoring too

Thank God it's half time, the quicker this is done and forgotten about, the better! I know it's natural to critique and get upset but some people are just ridiculous, we've had a very rare bad day and it's like an excuse for the divas of the forum to portion blame at whoever they don't particularly rate in an attempt to vindicate their opinion. We've got 45 minutes to try and rescue the game, I just hope we do ourselves a bit more justice in the second half.

It's a close call but I'm glad we spent our 30m on Sissoko and not Mane

I read somewhere today that we had a bid accepted but Poch could not convince the club to pay the wages he was asking for

It is absolutely astonishing how Poch could look at Liverpool this season -- the way they have absolutely shredded teams who try to play against them and how dreadfully poor they are against teams that sit deep -- and decide yeah, let's have a go.

We have to make a change to give Davies cover and try to neutralize Mane but it won't fucking matter. We always, always struggle against teams that press us and won't be able to cope with it in the second half any better than we did in the first. Our best hope was to sit back and hit them on the counter, but at 2-0 down the smash and grab tactic is totally worthless.

It's called stubbornness, his worst trait.

You are right ofcourse and agree Poch fucked up but those players misplacing passes and just jogging about is a piss take and pathetic

When did we last attack a top team like their doing to us. Have we that ability.

Possibly the first time I've ever been genuinely annoyed at Poch.

They are just about the only team in the entire league that we have failed to dominate once in the past 2-3 years. We just don't match up with them well as they can press as well as us.

It was blindly obvious before this match what Liverpools Achilles heel is. Why we didn't at least adjust our tactics somewhat to prey on this, even more so considering the players we are missing, is beyond me.

We are not so completely devoid of pace that we couldn't sit a little deeper than usual and keep it tight. Sissoko/Son/NKoudou all have enough pace to damage on the counter. Walker can do that from deeper as well. Eriksen/Ali/Kane etc are all good enough players to be able play this way with good passing/movement etc.

Whatever happens in the next 45 minutes, this and the City game should be a reminder that while we're a good team, we're a long way from being a great one. We aren't title contenders, just one of five good teams fighting for three champions league places.

This all day.

I could understand it if Rose was playing as he naturally wants to get forward. But with Davies there you have to be pragmatic.
