Really hope they now go down! That would be a fitting tribute to the historic achievement of Ranieri. Take a bow Tinkerman for having some integrity when all around you have none

Nobody can deny that Ranieri did a superb job last season.

But this season he looks lost and his calming influence is not having a positive effect.

This season was always going to be a tough job with the extra pressure of CL football, losing their key player and struggling to buy what they required but, bar their keeper and Gray, none of the players are performing and the manager ultimately takes some responsibility for that.

Past success is never a guarantee of a current job.

I don't see why everyone is so shocked at this, what he did last season is totally irrelevant to what is happening now, they are on the verge of relegation, they haven't scored a goal in the league since New Years Eve, they have serious internal problems and it's clear that the players aren't playing for him, something had to happen.

Just went on FoxesTalk to see what they were saying.

"I never rated him highly as a manager" and "I hope Wenger is available in the summer". :ROFLMAO:

Give it Giggsy.

Is that because you like Giggs, or because you don't like Leicester?

'Arry would be perfect for them in my opinion. An old school manager for some old school players. I've put a couple of pounds on it at 25-1.

Hodgson wouldn't be a bad bet either as he's free, knows the league and knows some of the players.

You're right, he would. I really hope he doesn't though as I look back at his time with us very fondly and I wouldn't want to be rooting for him to relegate a team.

It's mainly a piss take on how the usual suspects in punditry clamour for Giggs (or other British Jobs for British Managers) to be given any decent job that becomes available, but it's rooted in the feeling that he would be a terrible appointment and would almost guarantee they go down.

I'm happy he's left them. A classy man who doesn't deserve to go down with that rabble. Just a shame they sacked him. Could have at least announced a mutual agreement.

Their fairy-tale is ruined now. 20 years from now when the club organise a reunion the only people who'll turn up will be Kante and Steve Walsh. They jumped ship at the top. The rest are going down hating each other and I love it.

Completely agree. My thoughts exactly.

Sky Sources are saying 'senior' Leicester players told the owners they weren't happy with Ranieri after the Seville game.

Yes, I know pinch of salt and all that but if this is true then what a bunch of snidey rat****s.

PS: It's almost certainly true, I mean, Vardy.......look at him. If you had to pick a snidey rat**** out of the pack he'd be top of the list. And Mahrez. Blame everyone but yourself and when you've run out of excuses, blame the manager. ****s to a man, i'd be seriously cheesed if we signed any of them when they jump ship.

It will make Leicester City: The Movie more interesting. They were going to get Danny Boyle in for a feelgood spectacular. Now they need a much gloomier approach.

Still, if digging up Wilfrid Brambell to play Jamie Vardy was in the budget, perhaps they can spring for the resurrection of Ingmar Bergman.

That always annoys me. If he's desperate to be a manager start lower down the leagues. I've got more respect for Jimmy Bullard taking the managers job at Leatherhead than I have for Giggs who is just waiting for a big job to become available.

I'd be so fucked off if I were a Leicester fan. No point sacking a manager with only 2 months to go, talk about unsettling an already unsettled squad. They need to get someone in who's going to make an immediate impact, the likes of Giggs, will not. Redknapp will can't think of too many others to be honest.

Also, the double standards of the media really piss me off. This time last season they were calling for Mourinho to be sacked after he won the league the season before. This season "oh you can't sack someone who won the league the season before." God I hate the media.
