I love it when he goes on them wonder runs but half the time it's because he's over run it, it's hitting his heels, gets a few lucky ricochets, bounces off his shins etc. Hoping he finds his form along with Vinnie

Issue with Sissoko now isn't even to really do with his ability, it's the simple fact that currently it looks like we don't even really need him... That case will certainly be cemented once Lamela comes back, unless he drastically improves.

With our current setup he won't be hugging the touchline on the wide right position, he'd be a bit more central which I think would help him, if we are to bring him on for some minutes.

You would like to thing that in a game like Burnley away that could be tight and a bit gritty, someone like him to bring energy through the middle and go on some bursting runs, being an alternative to intricate play could be what we could get success from but the ability that he does have has a lot more often than not led to nothing.

I can't see him turning up against Burnley, especially away. By all accounts he only ever seemed to turn up for the big occasions while at Newcastle. I'm not saying he will be the same here, I'm just not holding my breath.

No I wouldn't imagine he would, but I also mean generally just those types of games where we could maybe end up needing to be a bit more direct. At least it's a bit different for him mentality wise here though, or should be. Every game with us for him should feel like a big game given his current predicament.

At his age and considering the time he's spent in the league he will just never be good enough... Plays in lead boots and his only redeeming quality is his ability to wrecking ball his way through players whilst having zero control of the ball. The scouting team seem really good at spotting intricate ball players but terrible when it comes to identifying pace and direct players. Quite funny to think we wanted Mane and ended up with Sissoko.

Don't think he'd want to go to China 12 months before the World Cup.

But he also wouldn't want to sit on our bench (if he is lucky) all of next season, so hopefully he can find a move.

Loan him to Marseille or Lyon with an option to buy. They both can afford it now.

Pretty sure he's going to be an expensive mistake, but I never failed to be sickened by the gleeful 'I told you so' comments on this site, as if posters feel that their oracle like football foresight has been validated.

I for one hope he turns it around and takes a celebratory shit on each of your mums' heads!

That failing, I hope we claw our money back/ swap him for Barkley.

Fair enough, I hear you, but silence on the flip side of the coin is equally deafening. Never do you hear "You know what, sorry for coming out so hard and questioning your criticism, turns out it wasn't as ill-founded as I was lead to believe".

Don't worry, Im still waiting for that when I started saying how shit Paulinho was months before everyone else finally cottoned on. Its never going to happen.

Paulinho is actually doing very well this days.

I'm waiting for:
Being right that even if Adebayor had a great loan spell, we shouldn't buy him
Being right that Bale would be sold
Being right that Townsend was a one trick pony, and that the trick was really poor
Being right that Tom Carroll would never make it with us
Being right that Mason and Bentaleb was an inferior CM pairing
Being right that 4231 was an ineffective choice of formation
Being right that we were going to sign Wanyama, and that it probably would work out very well
Being right that that Sissoko was a horrible PIT (Panic Induced Transfer), or that probably somebody was told "BUY US ISCO" but heard "BUY SISSOKO"

No need to have a £30m player in the squad who is only useful for a nuisance factor. All the Newcastle fans said he'd have a couple of barnstorming performances a season which he lived off for the rest of the season but we haven't even seen a 7/10 yet. Still time but he's as good as gone in the summer.

Sounds weird because he's on the bench and Poch occasionally brings him on but according to l'equipe they've fallen out. It sounds more like it's his agent trying to generate some interest.

The majority of us knew it was a bad signing from the start but if we can get a decent fee for him it would be terrific.

Let this serve as a lesson to the moaning clique insisting that every player must be given time because Lamela came good. Some players won't work out, and it is OK to state so without being categorised as a lessor fan.

When it comes to being on the bench as a fact negating a possible fall out, Stambouli featured heavily in the squad at the end of the season prior to being sold anyway.
