Moussa Sissoko has vowed to fight for his future at Tottenham after failing to impress during his debut campaign at White Hart Lane.

Spurs signed Sissoko for a club-record fee of £30million from Newcastle on the summer window’s transfer deadline – the move secured after some impressive performances for his country at Euro 2016.

However, the Frenchman has proved a massive disappointment under Mauricio Pochettino and has failed to hold down a consistent first-team spot.

He has just four assists in 24 games in all competitions, and is yet to score for his new club.

However, despite recent reports linking Sissoko with a move to AC Milan, the player insists he will stay and fight for his place at the club.

“My future is at Tottenham and I’m trying to give my best,” he told beIN SPORTS.

“I’m trying to learn because I have to get used to a new style of playing in a new team.”

He is like a bad girlfriend who won't get the hint.

Leave man leave. Jeez.

Least he wants to stay, prove his worth and improve his ability. Instead of kicking up a fuss or saying he'll look at his options in the summer.

I know it was a small cameo against a poop team on Sunday, but I wonder if Pooch is thinking about permanently moving Sissoko as cover for Wanyama. With our three at the back system, I just can't see a good fit for him in an attacking role. However, he's a very strong and fit player, whose not afraid to get stuck in. Now, considering our transfer budget will likely be limited this summer, and adding into the equation that Dier is likely gonna be used now as a CB, it means we need depth at CM. I know the guy hasn't lit up the way we hoped, but in Pooch's hands, I bet he can mold him into an effective midfield enforcer.

Thought he was a CDM before moving to PL? I'm under the impression that he preferred to be on the offensive instead of the dull work in CM so don't know how willing would he be to the switch. I could be wrong though.

Personally think that would make him much more valuable if he's discipline enough.

he needs to carry the ball from deep , he can only pay on the right breaking away in away games like old trafford. He has a lot to offer he can score goals and get at defences he needs a run of games but dumbbell and wanyama are to solid and disciplined to be taken out of the equation.

It's a no for me. His touch is worse than Wanyama's, who let's be honest, has a pretty hefty touch. He just needs to sit IMO and if he is a sub then he needs be coming on at 80mins when we are 3-0 up.

Edit: that bolded bit above. Who thought he was going to light it up? Seriously? Who in their right mind thought that was a smart move? Srktel just did more than Sissoko has done for Fenebache as a CB

Sorry my man, I just don't agree with you at all. He can't score goals. Look at his past. The stats speak for themselves. His technique consists of bullying the ball through his opponents. The train has moved on. cash in

I do agree to an extent but I remember when he came off the bench and thumped us last season and fired in a beauty off the bar. i just feel he's worth a go in a deeper role. But if we can cash in them also thats the best option.

Yeah, I understand the sentiment, but he I see the same player that I have always seen. I liked him 5 years ago thinking he would improve but he just never did and I still think it is one of the oddest investments ever. He will be gone in my book no matter who comes for him. He is taking up a spot for either Edwards or a newcomer in my book. Also if Lamela was in the team I don't think we would have seen him half as much as we have this season. Waste

Want GKN on the bench instead of him. But because he cost 30m he is getting ahead of him

He will be out the door this summer

Lol. Poch never gives a shit about a player's value, him being on the bench has nothing to do with his price tag. The only explanation must be that Nkoudou is really shit in training, or maybe he doesn't yet have the intensity Poch requires.

I feel a bit sorry for him. He hasn't been able to replicate his early Newcastle or Euros form. He also hasn't been able to adapt to our style of play where despite offering something a bit different in a front 3 (direct running, power etc.), he just hasn't been skilful enough to perform a job for us.

I also think his chances to perform have gone. We've settled on a formation which has only two behind the striker and with Kane, Alli, Eriksen and Son in good form he is not going to feature, aside from some further injuries, or using him to close out a game through substitutions.

I'd be surprised if we don't sell him.
