should we be optimistic now ?

It is literally never worth it to be optimistic when it comes to our transfer dealings. You must always remain cynical. That way, if it works out it feels even that much better. And if (when) it doesn't, you've already prepared yourself adequately.

Indeed - we have to understand that financially we're fighting other clubs who have assault rifles with an old musket.

Sidibe has liked an instagram post that a spurs fan put up of Lemar in a Spurs kit saying welcome to Spurs. Probably means nothing but its interesting

Cynical Me: It means he's laughing at us. Or, it means Sidibe, the shittier player of the two, is joining us and is trying to convince Lemar it's a good idea to do the same.

Optimistic Me: Lemar is signing for us. Praise Baby Jesus and Kevin from The Leftovers.

I just can't see us paying the required fee to get him. Especially considering how many players seem to be leaving them this summer. Nice to know we are after this quality of player tho.

Or Sidibe can't stand him and hopes he leaves.

the question regarding sidibe is

a) is he close to Lemar like Alli is to Dier
b) is he a frequent instagram user

We could probably double his current wages quite comfortably.
He's allegedly on 2800 per week according to most sources on the Internet. Any team in the prem could give him a substantial pay rise if true so it comes down to whether he wants even more money or which team suits him

Is this fella any good? What posistion does he play? Admittedly I have not seen him play this year much. That includes the UCL games against ourselves, is he the same chap that Rose said was a nightmare to play against?

Thanks all...Happy Friday...COYS

Yes good potentially very good, plays AM played against us on the left when we played at Wembley, he is not the guy who gave Rose a nightmare that was Mane but he was the second most difficult player we faced that game after Bernardo Silva. He came on after a injury if I remember correctly then preceded to be a right pain in the backside.

Would be a top top signing if it happened.
