Hernandez really is not all that at all. Zabaleta is passed it, Hart dog shit and Arnautovic has one good game in 10.

I'd honestly cry if we made any of these signings.

Think they've done some decent work. Lanzini, Antonio, Arnautovic, Hernandez, Carroll and Ayew is a decent mix of attacking options. Expect them to push Europa spots.

Those attacking options are quite flaky. They are either injury prone, approaching 30 or just inconsistent.

Micky Quinn was just saying on TalkSport that it's a "gimme" that Hernandez will score at least 15 Premier League goals next season.

Don't put your mortgage on it, fatty.

Micky Quinn is a complete twat, but Hernandez is a very good signing for West Ham. Proven PL goal scorer with European experience and used to the big occasions. Although against us last season he admittedly spent more time cheating and rolling around on the floor than he did playing actual football.

Fair play of he proves me wrong, but I think 15 is a tad unrealistic. Most he scored in a PL season at united was 13.

I reckon they can forget about getting another Europa League qualification via the 'fair play' placing this year.

Sullivan gobbing off on Talksport just said 'Hernandez is the best player that's ever come to the club'...he really knows how to make his other players feel good doesn't he?

I was feeling a little worried after they signed Hernandez that we wouldn't be able to laugh at them so much, but reading the comments in this thread reassures me that we easily can. :)

Sullivan also said (re: the horrific list of failed strikers they've signed) that they only paid Mido £1kpw and £5K per start, and that he'd sign him again if he could as it was no risk.

Hernandez will suffer the same fate at Wham that Soldado did with us. They are not creative enough, nor intricate enough to take advantage of his playing off the shoulder and penalty box positioning.

If he scores more than 10 in the league, I'll be surprised. They score so many headers, mainly because they've got big ****s like Antonio and Carroll that can attack the ball with their height and power - Hernandez isn't going to be doing that.

As long as they are playing Joe Hart, Hernandez will rarely be scoring enough goals for W Ham to draw games, let alone win them...

They are gonna be leaking buckets of goals.

Said it before - they remind me of how we once were, buying a load of 'names' and players who have a good six months or good season behind them.

It's never a recipe for success because it's clear as day that they don't recruit with an idea of how they will mould them into a competitive team. It's just a case of "We need a top striker" without thinking what kind of striker it is you need, someone who fits into your style of play.

The Soldado example that @Spurrific used is a good one.

Maybe they could rename the Bobby Moore stand after him then. They should be able to get it done before the start of the season. I'm sure that would go down well with the home fans.
