Foyth has played about 10 senior games. Think about that fact. He is going straight into the development squad.
We might be pleasantly surprised and he could "do a dele"... let's think about that if it actually happens....
He won't go into the development squad. At the very worst (and most likely) he'll be a fringe first teamer with limited game time a la CCV, Onomah, Nkoudou last season.

Really excited about Foyth, I love classy defenders who are good on the ball. Might take him time to adapt but I reckon he could turn out to be a gem with time.

I hope this transfer does not disturb any business for creative players as I think that is the main area where we need depth.
Never thought we are going to sign two CBs this window. Hopefully everythings fine with our Belgium players.

.@ElDia quote Juan Foyth's agent as saying, "it's done" in regards to a transfer to Tottenham. #THFC

Where are you getting that from? Because I can't find it. Nothing on the paper website or their twitter

I think this one is done though

I don't think we'd be chasing the kid if it did

Think it says a lot about us and our manager these days that there were rumours he could have gone PSG with all their filthy lolly, and yet it seems he has chosen us as a place to develop really pleased.

I wouldn't give much importance to that. It was all fake imo.
The excuse they gave for choosing us instead of PSG was playing time, which may sound understandable at a first glance. But when you go and look both squads, PSG only has 3 CBs, while we have 5 (6 with Dier)

Well whatever way you look at it it's still a good signing and you would have seen more of him than any of us I presume.

In some ways I prefer these signings to big money signings(especially with our record). 10m in this market is literally nothing and the kid looks classy, could complement Sanchez perfectly in the future

And even if he flops we can probs sell-on to another prem team for a profit

Spending 40m plus on two central defenders

no problem with this signing I'm sure the boy will be a good signing on time, as long as this signing doesn't stop us signing a player for now! That will come in and make a difference

I highly doubt 10m will stop us signing someone, its pocket change this transfer window

This makes sense and is good business.
To be honest I think buying young promising players is good business and healthy for the club as a whole regardless of whether those players fill a need or not.
