Sorry but it was pretty obvious we only had one striker when we bought Jannsen so that's not a very good comparison. I'd be grateful if you could point me in the direction of any links suggesting Kane was off too. If Toby doesn't sign that contract he'll be off whether you like it or not.
Was getting linked to United almost all summer.

That's because he's a top class striker not because we bought Janssen. Also those links you talk about regarding Kane we're from the media not from posters on SC.

The press in Argentina often claim deals as done before they are concluded. He's gone to us, then to PSG, and now again to us in this window.
So I think it's close, but not done

Yeah, this is a bit more cautious: http://www.eldia.com/nota/2017-8-19...enta-de-la-historia-al-futbol-ingles-deportes

Especially this bit

Says that Estudiantes are saying it's not yet a done deal, and someone even said PSG still couldn't be totally ruled out

All sounds a bit Overmars on Sanchez

Either way didn't stop people here saying it clearly meant Levy would sell him.

End of the day unless Toby signs the new contract by next summer he's off, and 11 months may seem a long time but its already 11 months since Rose signed his new contract.

And then what if Alderweireld signs a new deal?

The post I replied to said this would be the end for one of the Belgians, meaning Vertonghen or Alderweireld.

So then I take it if Alderweireld signs it means Vertonghen is off?

So we'd be back to square one where I disagree with the premise that as soon as we sign young backups and cover it automatically means we'll be selling a first teamer next year.

If we're gonna play 3 at the back more often than not this season then we need 5 CB, so assuming Toby signs his new contract I don't see any reason to sell anyone. I'm not saying 1 of the 2 Belgians will be off because we look like we're gonna sign 2 CB, I'm saying Toby will be off if he doesnt sign that contract. No way is levy letting him get below 2yrs left on his contact.

I said i'm afraid that this would mean the end of one our belgians - not that it 100% is going to happen. I was never that bombastic. I understand that its not a popular opinion but its not all that far fetched to discuss the subject IMO. I was only entertaining a (depressing) thought - i have never claimed it to be a fact.

Foyth has played about 10 senior games. Think about that fact. He is going straight into the development squad.
We might be pleasantly surprised and he could "do a dele"... let's think about that if it actually happens....

You think he turned down a move to PSG to go into our development squad?
