It was shot down because it's the stupidest conspiracy theory bullshit since the "not one brick" lot.

Unlike 99.99% of Spurs fans, Poch knows what is going on at the club, he knows how we have to operate because he knows the numbers.

None of you lot do and it fucks me off that muggy fans will believe these seeds of discontent that you're trying to sow.

Chill Winston don't take it personally fans have other opinions than you.

It's just my opinion this is the case. And most fans aren't muggy they are fans with opinions too this is what makes this forum great.

You got some statistical evidence to back that up?

The ITK is that we've got two signings in the bag and possibly 2-3 more and you lot get the razor blades out. You couldn't make this shit up :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I think it was the Benteke/Origi links which means we may be in the panic free fall end of the transfer market.

We can ask the question but Benteke will not be sold. I know the work that went into Palace signing him. Would need to be a mega bid to sign him... DL mega bid for Benteke? lol

Fast flexible forward is what we are crying out for and glad poch recognizes this, we are just leaving it too late as usual unless more is happenning then we can be made aware of at this time.

I think we've been burned by experience. And let's be honest, as a Spurs fan with a few days left in the window, you'd have to be quite naive to put your faith in those sort of assurances. We've seen it before. More than once.

Besides which, I don't doubt that we've got signings lined up - what I doubt is that they are of the requisite quality for a team that's playing in the biggest stadium in the country, the Champions League, and who finished 2nd last season and 3rd the season before that, with aspirations of staying there.

This summer has really perplexed me. I know we've a stadium to plan for but our stock/appeal was so high following last season. Surely this was the time to kick on and truly address what this side needed, the last piece of the jigsaw.

It's not about marquee signings on top dollar, we know they're pipe dreams but why on earth are we leaving it to the last minute again to address something so glaringly obvious?

And to compound that we sell Walker whilst Rose is still out, and we're devoid of much of the intensity we saw last season.

I just don't get why we havn't been trying to pursue a proper pacy difference maker.

Liverpool had Mane, but didn't rest on their laurels, they went out and signed Salah. One of them would be a game changer for us.

We did a similar thing last time we were in the CL.

When things are going well on the pitch we like to get the cigars out and think we've made it. After all, when we're second and every one is singing our praises then we don't really need to improve.

We can't seem to grasp the concept that the best time to improve is from a position of strength to stop your competitors catching you up or even surpass you.

Still a few days to go so we'll see what happens, but we've been here before and despite the popular myth that the end of the window sees it all come together for us, the actual facts would suggest otherwise.

Which are probably back ups of back ups if we don't get our first choice targets, Origi actually makes sense to me as he's scored in the Prem, young, can play in the 3 or up top and is quick. Not that I want him but still makes sense, the Benteke stuff is nonsense and his agent is probably angling for another payday

The ITK says we are looking at Benteke and actively want Origi, quite frankly I'm impressed at how calm this place is considering that. It isn't just about number of signings but who they are and SC is adopting the "Sissoko Theory" i.e, if Levy can avoid buying the players the manager actually wants and spend his budget on players the manager doesn't want then he will, previous examples of the Sissoko Theory include Fazio and Stambouli, all signed in the last week of the window.

That's what I thought! Very worrying. Poch is it seems calling levy out by saying he 'expects' at least 3 this week. Unusual to be so definite.

Seems amazing to me that DL would flirt with destroying everything we've built by not backing the manager we've waited a generation for. Surely a hugely false economy.

Just the thing he'd do; he likes to push everything to the limit.

I'm just saying what I see. I have always been very bullish Spurs and if you check last seasons threads at the beginning of last year you will see I said that Spurs were comfortably better than the two
Manchester clubs after watching them during the Manchester derby last year, I was roundly disagreed with and turned out to be absolutely right. So far this year we have looked poor in every match, the squad is paper thin, we looked tired, devoid of ideas and have nothing on the bench to change a game. Players like Sissoko and Jansen who are clearly not good enough and not wanted by the manager are still making match day squads 3 games in and we are yet to find anyone to force them from the line up.

From what I have seen so far this year City, Utd and Chelsea look on a different level to us. The former two have prepared very well for this season and are already building a cushion between them and us.

Keiran Trippier does not have the physical attributes to be a starting fullback at this level. I think Poch just wanted to give him the opportunity. Even so, we should have not have sold walker before securing his replacement.
So you feel that you know better than poch with regards trippier? So you knew that he was physically not good enough but poch had to see this for himself. Perhaps we had an iron in the fire for serge and after the chelski game poch went all out for him as trippier wasn't quite at that level. Now chelski are not a level above us - we dominated the game, all the stats, a good free kick and a uncharacteristic mistake from Hugo won chelski that game. They lost to Burnley don't forget, they beat an Everton side that have a lot of unproven premier league players in their team and an ageing player who is past his best. They have lost 25 goals! Manure and shitty have spent big, they were always going to and we can't keep up with them. Manure have beat spam (really shit - but think they are good so try to take on teams), stoke(we beat comfortably twice last season and would again this) and a result against Leicester (who aren't great). City they played and beat a shit team(can't remember), drew Everton (see above) and weee very lucky against bournmouth, i don't see how these teams are so far ahead of Spurs. Liverpool drew Watford, not convincing in next game and beat a shit arsenal team (they will struggle). Against teams that have a go Liverpools pace is key.

I don't think we are far off at all actually get serge over the line, and see what happens.

He's not a stupid guy and I'm sure he has his reasons for it, but it's very frustrating to witness. I see a lot of Arsene Wenger in Daniel Levy.
Not questioning his intelligence, questioning his attitude to supporting the best manager we have had in my lifetime. We are so close to winning something it is painful to think that he would end this window having signed players our manager does not want. After all is the game of Football not about glory, doing things with style ?

those are the names that the latest ITK has mentioned so i can understand the frustration, for were we are currently i think our aspirations should be set higher then both of those names, but we shall see come deadline day.

Another point has to be, if we are looking at players in the 40 mil + price range, as suggest buy Herc's "will Levy pull the finger out" post then one has to assume said player is highly regarded by their current club. If that is the fact, each day that passes surely makes the selling club less inclined to sell so close to the window closing. Unless of course the player is on the transfer list or openly committed to going.
