I suggested this was the case of poch putting out there how many signings he expects. To put pressure on levy.

Shot down by a few in here but it's obvious he is frustrated as we all are with Daniels last minute tactics.

It's costs us points every year this strategy.

I have recently praised Daniel. He has a major decision to make, if I were him I would make it and pay the money for that forward. If not ramblings? Nah, that won't happen will it? I am
very serious. Poch wants a fast flexible striker-Period!:barefoot:

I was told to put it out there:censored:

Haha Period. I like it. It's like a red rag to a bull ;)

I agree & no matter who he brings in we're playing catch up.

But can't argue with the caliber of players this tactic bring in though. Who else could pull of a signing like Sissoko!

Well it is easier for you to exit sharpish - you have no contract with the club - don't be so doom mongering! Also shut the door behind you!

So you agree with selling our first choice right back without a replacement and failing to strengthen the squad in any way before the season started?

If you were an ambitious player would you be happy with that approach and just get your head down because you had a contract?

It was shot down because it's the stupidest conspiracy theory bullshit since the "not one brick" lot.

Unlike 99.99% of Spurs fans, Poch knows what is going on at the club, he knows how we have to operate because he knows the numbers.

None of you lot do and it fucks me off that muggy fans will believe these seeds of discontent that you're trying to sow.

Well it sounds to be like its all going tits up. We are unsure on Barkley because of the uncertainty of his return from injury and our pacey forward targets are King, Origi and Benteke.
What Pochettino has done for this club he deserves much better support.

I truly think Poch wanted more than anything for Trips to be #1 and KWP to be his understudy. The ITK has Aurier coming in and the first 3 games was our way of giving the rest of the league a chance. I truly feel that if we get the deals we want, we will be a force. It does hurt losing to Chels and drawing with burnley at what is supposed to be our fortress.

I think we are on the cusp of something very special and most players can see this. Walker - wanted to leave, he wanted to go back up north and who knows what went on behind closed doors? Maybe the players asked and they had guarantees that he would be replaced. Having managed a couple of semi pro sides - transfers at this level are not like shopping for a fucking bag of apples, it is very complex - there you are talking 5-10 grand - this level multi millions pound deals, players moving from the other side of the world, bonuses, sponsorship deals etc. I can't bear the pessimistic attitude that some have.

Btw you are in that group I call some!

Totally agree, your being kind calling it a strategy, sign the players that the manager wants and improve the team where it needs improving, stop trying to be too clever by half when doing transfer deals.Pay up or shut up. The season started 3 weeks ago !

This summer has really perplexed me. I know we've a stadium to plan for but our stock/appeal was so high following last season. Surely this was the time to kick on and truly address what this side needed, the last piece of the jigsaw.

It's not about marquee signings on top dollar, we know they're pipe dreams but why on earth are we leaving it to the last minute again to address something so glaringly obvious?

And to compound that we sell Walker whilst Rose is still out, and we're devoid of much of the intensity we saw last season.

I just don't get why we havn't been trying to pursue a proper pacy difference maker.

Liverpool had Mane, but didn't rest on their laurels, they went out and signed Salah. One of them would be a game changer for us.

Because Levy's MO has always been to invest in the squad when we are doing badly, not when we are doing well. It's intensely frustrating but it is what it is.

It's going to happen again ain't it.
Going to be left short in positions needed.
Had all summer to sort this team out but let's always wait until the team has a shit start to the season.

If I were Kane or Alli or indeed Rose I would be looking for my exit sharpish. A horrendous start to the season and we are looking at Benteke or Liverpool's 4th choice centre forward. The club is utterly shambolic and it is not the way that a club that has aspirations to win titles operates. We will be nowhere near City or Utd or Chelsea come May the way things are going. Utterly pathetic.

But they are the ones on the pitch(apart from DR) so got to take some blame!

I really hope not, but I'm more than certain that it will be the case.

Benteke inquiry, nothing else. Highly doubt it would happen for various reasons. Origi is not just paper talk, but no offer. We have an interest at the right price. Adds to one of the possibilities under right circumstances.

No panic so relax. Not even biting nails time. Btw, Poch wants actually 4 more!;)

Bro, that's pretty much peak panic right there.

I'm just saying what I see. I have always been very bullish Spurs and if you check last seasons threads at the beginning of last year you will see I said that Spurs were comfortably better than the two
Manchester clubs after watching them during the Manchester derby last year, I was roundly disagreed with and turned out to be absolutely right. So far this year we have looked poor in every match, the squad is paper thin, we looked tired, devoid of ideas and have nothing on the bench to change a game. Players like Sissoko and Jansen who are clearly not good enough and not wanted by the manager are still making match day squads 3 games in and we are yet to find anyone to force them from the line up.

From what I have seen so far this year City, Utd and Chelsea look on a different level to us. The former two have prepared very well for this season and are already building a cushion between them and us.

Keiran Trippier does not have the physical attributes to be a starting fullback at this level. I think Poch just wanted to give him the opportunity. Even so, we should have not have sold walker before securing his replacement.

I would be absolutely gobsmacked if we signed a genuinely promising and/or exciting attacking player this window. Not going to happen. It's sad but all i'm hopeful of is not wasting money on shit like Sissoko again that we'll be lumped with for years. Cut our losses, bring in Aurier and Barkley if possible and then wait it out to fuck it up all over again next summer.
