Poch with sensible quotes as usual:

“I have full confidence in him and his talent and because I know him – he is a great kid and a very good person. But he is young. He is 21. If you compare with normal people on the street who are 21, they are still living at home with their parents, they are still at university doing stupid things.

"Sometimes we expect too much and we put too much pressure on 21-year-old players. Sometimes we forget and treat them like 40-year-old men.

"We need to be focused on him being still a kid. It's a lot of pressure on his shoulders and not always can he act how the people and the society expect."

Aren't they training at our training ground?
So? I implied that he should not be training with them if he was injured and be dealt with by our medical team as Wilshere is being attended to by Arsenal's medical team. You always try to be clever, but it doesn't work

This is one of the reasons why I don't understand the back 5 formation. 4-3-3 is the formation that gets all our best players in the same side.

With 3-5-2 Southgate has created a Lingard or Alli problem that isn't really necessary.

Why not just play:

Keeper
KW/KT Dier Stones Rose
Henderson
Dele----Lallana
Lingard---------Sterling
Kane

It gets all of our best players into the team and is reasonably well balanced too.

Although i'm not a massive fan of Dier in midfield you could also give yourself greater flexibility by playing Dier at the base and have him drop back into defence occasionally when both wing backs bomb forward.

England’s problem over the past two decades has been trying to get all our best players on the pitch, no matter what it does to the system! Not the way to go imo.

Dele can potentially play deeper alongside Henderson if Southgate is to go with Lingard.

It's enough if everyone else is solid and well drilled. 2 or 3 match winners is more than enough as long as you can stop the other team.
