I often feel like fans want to have their cake and eat it too. We want players to be 100% loyal to club, but will fail to get behind players when they aren't playing well. I don't know Danny Rose, so I will not speak on his character. The interview did bother me and was at best misguided, but I also remember how much Rose was slated by fans when he resigned.
I am happy with a situation in which all the above is water under the bridge--DR shows he is committed to the club, and the fans show him love for that commitment. From a footballing perspective, I think it would be a huge coup for him to stay and regain form. The most important thing for me is that, through everything, I have never seen Danny give less than 100% on the pitch (for much of last season he was clearly less than 100%, but I chalk that down to fitness rather than lack of effort). At the end of the day I respect him for that.
