A Terrible week for Spurs with All hope for this season sucked from the club.
ITK saying we have no chance of signing top quality players.
Knocked out of two cups
Strange lines with it being Toby and Eriksen rested?
Paper thin squad trying to scrap out 4th now.
I know we are often disappointed as Spurs fans but this feels like a 4/5 season low

It’s frustrating seemingly having the season ended early again, but for most here that was a common occurrence not so long ago!

Let’s just try and enjoy the champions league games against Dortmund and hope we just give it a go. Almost certainly losing that tie so might as well leave it all on the pitch.

The stadium move should it happen this season, is definitely something worth looking forward to though. If that gets put back to next term I’ll be checking out fairly early this season. I cannot stand Wembley

Nope.

Bingo!

I know this is just going over old ground as far as this window is concerned but it's 100% true. Poch is happy with the squad and really hasn't been pushing for incomings. He has his extremely optimistic list and is more than aware they were unlikely to be brought in. The thing with the ITK's on here, and the other forums at least is that it comes from various different sources, some pro Levy, some anti Levy, some that have zero interests in the club what so ever. Believe me we all talk behind the scenes and everyone is hearing pretty much exactly the same thing regarding this, and have been for some time. Some of you can bury your heads in the sand and continue to blame Levy(don't get me wrong he has form) but our lack of transfers both now and in the Summer are not down to him. He's for once doing what we have all been asking for, for the last decade and backing the manager. I know, easier to do when he doesn't have to spend any money, but there is money available should Poch want to bolster the squad.

I'm all for having faith in the youth but lets be honest it would be far easier to blood them with real quality around them, rather than having to chuck them all in together when we are injury plagued, and lacking confidence.

Not sure if this should have gone in here, or if some of it should have been posted at all tbh but I'm sick of hearing "this is all Levy's fault" and "poor old Poch having to work on a shoestring" when as things stand it couldn't be further from the truth.
Thanks for the info. If that's true, then Poch needs to set his sights a little lower. The idea that we can't improve the squad for reasonable money isn't true. It really worries me if Poch is genuinely happy with our midfield options, and the fact that three players score almost all our goals.

Our transfer targets are going to be Everton level if we don't get top four.
we first gotta be willing to let players go for a fair price and cut our losses. jeez you can’t sell players easy if they are shit, or out of form, or haven’t played first team for 2 seasons.

Nah Gazza is a solid keeper.

If Llorente would have put that chance away against Chelsea which Gazza setup from the goal kick then we'd probably be in the carabao Cup final, such is life -horses for courses and all that.
Surely we stand a better chance of progressing if we played the better keeper though. It's just common sense.

Well either Poch is happy with e.g. GKN and Llorente and therefore should be playing them, or they aren't in his plans and we should cut out losses and upgrade.

Lowest point this season (obviously) and (typical Spurs fan comment here) but starting to get extremely worried about players and Poch leaving...

i don't understand that we don't spend much on transfers and building a stadium on loans. where the hell all the money the club generates goes. Liverpool owners are not petro oil syndicate either.
to the shareholders. just like most businesses.

could only watch the highlights, but all I can say is, ONCE AGAIN, if we'd taken our chances: --1) Trip's penalty; 2) N'Koudou's point-blank set piece; and 3) Llorente's TWO horrible misses -- we win that game going away.

regardless of how we played overall, we were inches from victory. that's a very sorry state of affairs.

Why is top 4 more important to some that actually lifting a trophy??
We are not going to win the league or the CL. No chance.
I get that top 4 gives qualifies you to the CL and gets you more money. But we don't spend it, so what's the point?? We also don't get better players for being in the CL
shareholders? i don’t know?

So, barring a miracle, this will be our first decade since World War 2 when we won't have won a trophy. ManUre are now the only club who have done so. Sad bit of history making by us today.

I think I've figured out the most realistic route. Liverpool collapse, City win the league, Tottenham come 2nd. City then also win the FA Cup, meaning we play them in the Community Shield and beat them. Not likely, but you never know!
