I think the problem is that the players that he wants that are going to take the first team up a level are now £75-£85m....
The problem is that nobody - apart from his close team know what Poch wants/doesn’t want despite some on here claiming that they do.

Thing is when you are ravished by injury you look to your "top" players to step up and keep the side going. Lamela and Moura have both failed miserably in this regard and i can't wait until we have our better players back and they take their place on the bench.
lol i like ‘ravished’, like they’re sexually enjoyable injuries.

Sanchez is not good enough, time and time again he gets out muscled. Foyth is Much stronger despite being lighter. Plus he's better on the ball. Sanchez just isn't going to make it as a top defender

Thanks Morris, you've swayed it for me

Also, this 'cup goalkeeper' thing has got to stop

It makes no sense not to have your best keeper between the sticks if he's fit.

Had we had Hugo in goal on Thursday maybe we'd be in the final now.

Maybe, maybe not. Hugo is renowned for his big match temperament, after all.........

Think the trolls have left the sanctuary of the bridge and are fishing tonight...

Considering the team we had out there, I didn't expect anything else today.

It's a shame but this injury crisis has kicked us in the nuts at the absolute worst possible moment.

At the end of the day we played a weakened ‘weakened’ side to improve our chances weds and Saturday as CL and top 4 most important.

At the end of the day, I understand that but it’s very sad for fans my age who grew up with the FA cup. And we could have gone through with modest spending in the summer or now.

We are asking for a Grealish - not a messi and not unreasonable imo

Partying non-stop for 10 years. Respect Bro':headphone:

10 year olds - laserquest and bowling and shite food and screaming and Woking ffs.

Still it meant I missed the football which, apparently, was a good thing to miss...

Have now checked BBC and seen the players who started and came on. Blimey we really are at rock bottom of the squad aren't we...

I didn't get to watch the game today as unfortunately I had to go back into hospital but there were a large contingent of Liverpool fans in there and they were celebrating like they had just beaten us. What was the game like? Just seems at this moment in time the curse of the mid 90s is hitting us. Losing Harry, Dele and Sonny is soul destroying.
COYS

think back about 10 years - thoroughly mediocre performances in a losing effort against mediocre opposition.

He's wanted a lot of players over the years but has mostly been given a cheaper option.
Where is it then? And why is our squad not been improved on?
Ah well that's a different matter, it's bad business to factor in as a constant something that isn't a constant and whatever else we may level at Levy making elementary bad business decisions isn't one of them.

Why is top 4 more important to some that actually lifting a trophy??
We are not going to win the league or the CL. No chance.
I get that top 4 qualifies you to the CL and gets you more money. But we don't spend it, so what's the point?? We also don't get better players for being in the CL

Even though his wobbly running style has saved us on numerous occasions. Not fast enough for the PL? Thats utter crap, pity you probably wont realise it

Ever seen him knock the ball past anyone and run? Open your eyes man. He's soooo slow.

Nah Gazza is a solid keeper.

If Llorente would have put that chance away against Chelsea which Gazza setup from the goal kick then we'd probably be in the carabao Cup final, such is life -horses for courses and all that.

If Levy really is doing everything he could and has his wheelbarrow ready both now and last summer, it's wierd we could not get Grealish over the line ?

No, but it probably helps you keep your best players

Come on, today was balancing an injury ravaged squad rather than anything else. If everyone was fully fit I'm certain it would've have been our strongest team, but why risk the couple of of fit players we do have?!

Probably got a loan of the wheelbarrow in Spain, so he wouldn't have to check it on to the plane, thrifty.
