Did someone ask for some negatives?

If we weren't robbed by VAR + the bs handball rule against Newcastle, and didn't do an Arsenal-style botch job against West Ham, we would be on 24 points, 6 clear at the top.

Not really how it works but I'll accept it :D

That Toby injury may force us to go and get Skinnier in January, especially if we are still in it

But then positive from these is Mourinho tightened the defence so much better that our clean sheet numbers now look amazing.

Joint best record in the league and the other teams we share it with are yet to play. Mind, we have had one of the easiest run of games in the league. It's a very good start, but we will know better where we stand in the next few weeks. Having said that, it's likely post this run we will also be in a false position, so we will see.
Based on current form we haven't had an easy start to the season.

Slight tangent but today was the first time I’ve heard De Bruyne speaking after a defeat and I was pleasantly surprised with how eloquent he speaks and maturely he handled himself.

Was expecting a moan about the disallowed goal but he spoke diplomatically and was gracious. Was looking forward to uttering “****“ under my breath but came away liking him.

So, for that, he’s a ****.

I thought we were really solid today, disappointed to lose Alderweireld but top of the league again so all good!

Our defensive performances have really improved since he came back into the side. Could be a defining loss of a player if he’s out a while. Let’s hope Jose is playing games

Shout out to Aurier today, Ive been one of his critics but he has turned it around. I dont pay too much attention when fans say this manager or that has improved this or that player or not. I think in those instances where the player has improved its down the the player maturing or been managed by someone who sees what they do best and puts them in the role that suits them best. Aurier now, Jose indicates right from the start in the All Or Nothing documentary that he couldnt trust him (hinted about his rashness), also actually seems to have kept him from making any challenges in our penalty area for a time. Now Aurier has become trust worthy and dependable. He was very good today along with our whole defence. The results JM is getting at the moment is making me wonder if he was managing us the year Leicester won the title or Chelsea after that, we would have won instead.
Lastly I recall some Spurs fans in the last year or so saying tosh like Kane isnt good enough. Shockers, looking like fools.

Here's another: If our finishing had been better, we'd have put FOUR past Citeh today.

Our defensive performances have improved because Mourinho has the whole team playing coordinated and positionally astute defence.

He isn't playing games. Alderweireld's face told you that. It looks like a pulled or torn adductor and they take a l-o-n-g time to recover from.

We'll see how mature Rodon is now, because I don't expect that Sanchez or Tanganga will be handling the Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Leicester matches. Mourinho's defensive priorities are pretty clear already.

We have also played more defensively as a team since he came back which is why we're scoring less goals and conceding less goals.

Rodon can't play in the Europa League either so highly likely he'll be a regular in the premier League for a month or so.

Defensive performances like that win stuff.
With attacking firepower like we have if we can keep it tight we really could go somewhere. I'm pro stinkball all the way now lol.
