For those who were asking about the pronunciation of his name, this is how they print his name on his shirt in Russian, which is an entirely phonetic language so easy to read once you know the alphabet (even if you don’t know what the fuck the words mean)

Based on this:

Ква-рац-хели-я = Kva-rats-heli-ya

(again, happy to be corrected by any Russian speakers; I’ve been learning a couple of years but still a long way to go)
Yep, totally correct!

I'm not sure the context or date of this Khvicha game footage on this video recently uploaded but it is pretty astonishing.

Russian league yes, but Khvicha straight up embarrasses professional footballers 20+ times in this game including an amazing rabona cross. Hope Paratici sees this kid is special and explosive and arrogant in a good way.

Very raw with zero end product.

Seriously, I'd challenge anyone to go and watch that video again and make a note of how every one of his contributions ends.

Now that's not to say that with a bit a fine tuning with our coaching team, he couldn't develop into a good player.

But on that video, I'd be really wary of spending a lot on him.

Put it this way; if you put Stevie, Lucas or Alli, or some of our own youth prospects, in that game, do you think they'd do better or worse?

See, I thought that too when I watched them.
Potential but flawed, with a lot of 'running at people' but not much else.
Then I started to question my own judgement, after reading some of the comments on here!

The more grey hairs I get, the less I do that ;)

Well, even CR7 at his first seasons for MU was pure entertainment, pretty much without any end product

Not that I'm saying he'll end up anywhere near as good nor making a comparison but wasn't Ronaldo like that initially? (My point is that players can develop weaknesses like decision making)

The kid's 20. The raw talent is there. The technique to produce the end product is there. He just needs to improve his decision making. A bit like Ronaldo when he was young. Also part of the reason the end product isn't better is the shocking play on the part of the centre forward.

But yes I agree. The price has to match the level of gamble for us.

I love the idea of signing a couple of direct, technically decent wide forwards. Let’s completely re-write the blueprint of the late Kane era and get us playing quick, direct, progressive football with a decent, bastard number 9 who doesn’t need to drop back and double as a number 10/ CAM because he’s got three central midfielders behind him ( a CDM, box to box and AM) and a couple of mad, quick, fearless bastards either side of him. Bring it the Don, fucking bring it

Sounds good; I'd go with that.

Whilst I can't argue based on that video a lot of the time he had little support so ended running up blind alleyways. The previous video he had more players around him and played others in more often.

What I like about him is that he can beat a man from a standing start. Lucas and Steve (and even Son) are fine when running at players but when stood up they aren't so effective.

These sort of players are always a gamble so as long as it was one of our 10 to 20 million Euro gambles we have every year on a youngster I'd go for it.
