We're not a good fit for Conte but that's a good thing. We're currently a good fit for mediocrity and we need to break the mould. We weren't a good fit for Poch at the time either but he got shot of the lazy players who were holding us back. He transformed our mentality and had the players running through walls for him.
I do hope we get Conte and change the culture of the club. It will be nice to have someone on the touchline who gives a shit. He will be like Simeone constantly shouting at players. The ones who hide will be dropped and then sold. I did feel from watching AON that Jose was a bit soft. He just seemed like a shadow of his former self, probably burnt out from years of intense competition. Nuno on the other hand just seemed so passive. We need the passion back and that starts from the manager.

I have felt for a while we need to get rid of Winks, Dele, Doherty and some others and I despaired at the waste of time (weeks or months) in which we waited for new managerial arrivals to reach a similar conclusion.
However, I’ll take Conte’s view over my own anyday. This guy made title winners out of Victor Moses and an ageing Ashley Young. I have full faith he’ll know within only a few weeks which players will fit his system and which won’t.
