For anyone travelling tomorrow... Avanti West Coast are taking a hatchet to the train timetable (driver unavailability)

I've had it confirmed that Avanti West Coast tickets will be accepted for travel on West Midlands Trains/London Northwestern Railway Northern, Chiltern Railway, Transport for Wales, TransPennine Express, CrossCountry, LNER.

Good luck, safe travels, see you there!

Yep, saw that, ta for the heads up though! Getting an earlier train than planned. And if that fails, the best backup route seems to be to go Kings Cross to Leeds and then change.

Fingers crossed it just means a few extra drinking hours in Preston! Should be a cracking day out
