Right, a poll for people to vote on their preferred choice for who they would like to see in this position next season.

I'm not saying he'd be my top priority but I think we could do a lot worse than the man you mentioned in another thread - Darren Fletcher.

After a few tough seasons Fergie stuck by him & he's become a very disciplined and quality defensive midfielder over the past two seasons.

He's be worth a punt anyway, don't think he'd cost that much and he's got rediculous competition at United.

Oh yeah, better add option for other - thanks Kendall!

I reckon Fletcher is a good bog standard kinda midfield (heh heh ). Being serious though, he is good and can play right midfield so gives options!

Gotta get ready for work now so I'll probably post later why I chose the particular people for my poll - wanna make sure I do it properly and not rushed!).

I said Albelda cause I've seen him play more than Poulsen who would be my 2nd choice. Albelda has always looked solid when he's played and we have more of a chance of signing him with the state that Valencia are in at the minute.

Well Poulsen and Albelda are obvious choices from that list as they are players who make the difference. But then we propably would have to break our wage structure, so I say Llama.

We wont get Diarra as he's just moved to Pompey. You could do with a few more options in there really.

Miguel Veloso?
Lucho Gonzalez?
Jean II Makoun?
Kim Kallstrom?
Mathieu Bodmer?
Jérémy Toulalan?

Sorry got a bit Lyon happy at the end there, incidentally I'd love to see us get Kader Keita from them he looks awsome. Anyone see his goal in the ACN, think it was the semi final.

Let's buy both Veloso and Lucho, so our midfield centre is solved

That would be a sexual midfield! Would probably cost 30million+ to assemble though, and thats without signing a left winger. Still......

Lennon---Lucho---Veloso---Bale

----------Berba---Keane--------

If we're splashing cash for fun, Veloso. If we're being realistic, Poulsen. If we're thinking short term, Albelda.

My choice would probably be Poulsen. Would be a decent price, has loads of experience, has played is Ramos' system before, would help players like Huddlestone improve their defensive game, and would give Jenas the freedom to really express himself (like Teemu did in the 5-1 Gooner game, but even better).

Is he an aggressive Gattuso type, or a creative Pirlo type?

He's a bit of both on FM but probs more of a creative type. But they have been known to get it wrong!

He is more creative, loves to get forward though and get goals. I personally don't think we need a 'Makelele' type dm, i think someone who is disciplined with good technique. would love Carrick back tbh

Here's a screenshot of him, it's in 2011 though he will have developed a fair bit.
