Like the way people have forgotten how Chelsea bought theirs?

Its already forgotten. Its almost 18 years since Roman bought them and changed football.
Another 7 years, its almost one generation done...people will forget.

How many even know Arsenal controversially rejoined 1st division league in 1919. Its not even a footnote now. More years ago, new football generation comes, all the things you think is important to point out now, will be forgotten

Media is bought out in every country by rulers. Media again is used to forget things even in football.
This is the world we live in , like it or not.

Ofcourse you can voice your opinion...as time goes , it falls into more deaf ears.

To a very small minority of opposing fans, to the rest of the world their achievements are just as good as any other clubs.
Nah. Everyone knows they're a state sponsored cheat. That's why the whole world loves a good laugh at PSG. People can appreciate the excellence of Pep and how the team plays as you watch them. But the asterisk will always be there, and that's fine. 'Both sides' can be be content in their view, and we dont have to agree while things just carry on.

Names on the trophy. Will still be in 50 yrs and 100 yrs. Doesn't matter what any of us think, whichever way we go.

If the powers that be don't punish the way Citeh have done it, it'll be the only way to do it, if it isn't already.

I'm not sure how well travelled you are, but it really isn't that common of a theme around the rest of the world.

Most fans just see them as another rich successful club that got there because of a buyout. You'd be surprised at how ignorant the common football fan can be.

The powers that be literally can't punish City for it, UEFA would be bankrupted in court by their owners who could keep the court case going indefinitely with their financial might.

Some things in life are just meant to be accepted and not fought against, it would be the textbook definition of a pointless battle.

Only that when I think of Lance Armstrong, I think of a massive cheat, who got away with it for many years.
He got, very belatedly, punished though.

The ball is in the football authorities' court. I have little faith they'll deliver tbh but here's hoping for a minor miracle.

I hated Man Utd when I was a kid growing up as they dominated everything and there were a whole host of glory hunting fans all across the country (and world). But I respect those achievements.

I will never feel that way about Man City or Chelsea.

Yes. I'm not sure they see the benefit of totally nuking several cash cows for them anyway.

The modern game has little time for romance. Maybe it's why so many of us supporters have lost some of our fire in recent times.

Spare of thought for Inter - I thought they played brilliantly. They should blame themselves though...should have scored in first half. It could have been a dreadful night for Ederson. Barella should have scored for the technical ability he has.

Sure, and I agree, I don’t think anything will happen to City, it’s all just going to be swept under the carpet.

Whilst I’m around though, I’ll still comment on it and see City as a team who only achieved success due to being state sponsored and breaking rules.

I get the whole thing of people will forget etc, and sure they will. Doesn’t mean it can’t/shouldn’t be called out in the present though.

That’s the thing, the old school noble way of winning and achieving things is way more admirable to the older generations, mine included but the world and time doesn’t stop evolving and the younger generations don’t understand the nuances, they just want the success by any means.

Look, I don't like how city have done it, but I expect they won't sing "champions of Europe, you'll never sing that" to most clubs, like the classless Chelsea fans who sang it to morecambe.
Haha. If they really did sing that it is more than reasonably funny. Hats off. And believe me I looooooaathe Chelsea.

Great to see Scott Carson picking up his second champions league winners medal tonight. What a career.
