Berba has not long turned 27 (on Jan 30th to be precise), just reaching his peak years for a Footballer. With Spurs he won his first Trophy at Wembley on Feb 24th since he played for CSKA as a teenager. It's hardly been a waste of time being at our club, has it? Though I accept, clearly not good enough for Danchev or the Bulgarian press, the BFU, and it seems most BG Fans.
Indeed. He's had more respect and love and admiration from Spurs Fans than he ever got from CSKA Fans or gets from Bulgarian Team supporters, as Berba himself has said.
All the stuff about Berba moving from Spurs in the Bulgarian media is quoted from Daily Mail, the Sun and others you have over there.Danchev just like every other agent is doing his job.Unless you see Berbatov coming up with a statement "I want to leave" you should stop dissing him for absolutely no reason-this is just illustration of inferior complex-fearing the Sol Campbell and Carrick situations.
Those stories are only around because Dantchev is sounding out a move all the time. If Dantchev had kept his mouth closed, none of this talk would be about. Do you notice Santa Cruz's agent talking him up and scouting a move? Or Bentley? No. He's not just doing his job, he's trying to get himself a big payday, by getting his player to transfer. I'm not fearing a Carrick or Campbell situation, or dissing him. He's never said he'd leave, and I have no reason to believe that he wants out.
berba was never out for the warm up so I dont know where that's come from
The pressure on Berbatov comes from the British media who consider you a team not good enough for his talent and I don't know based on what you think the fans in Bulgaria care about Berbatov
He wasn't loved while he played for the nonsense Stalinist four letters and I can make you sure-you are getting wrong notion about the Bulgarian fans' opinion on Berba  that of course excluding the glory hunting dickheads supporting teams like manusa, liverpool,le arse, barcelona etc, etc.
Try getting your head around your own club prejudices, and look at the facts.
Why did the President of the BFU feel the need to mention the words "Manchester United" just before presenting Berba with the BPOTY Trophy last month?
Why do your journalists and reporters question him everytime he sets foot in Sofia Airport, and he has to hold an impromptu press conference about "the interest from Milan" or answer the question "is there a problem between Danchev and Ramos?"
Where I'm getting my information and opinions is based on this:
From following the Bulgarian Media via the internet, and from BG fans in general, not just a group of bitter Levski supporters.
On the fact that Berabtov is the only Bulgarian footballer who gets invited to the Foreign Ministry to receive an Award from the Foreign Secretary of Bulgaria for his services to promoting the image and standing of Bulgarians abroad.
On the many TV interviews he's given, the most recent half hour interview broadcast on BTV where every aspect of his life is of public interest to your nation. Do either of the Petrovs get asked to give such interviews? No, because they are merely footballers, and haven't transcended the sporting world into being the biggest Bulgarian Superstar.
And FYI, it has been posted on gg forum that Danchev began hawking Berbatov around 5 months after he arrived in England to play for Spurs by holding talks with MU. Yes, 5 months. He spoke to the press, and made no secret of the fact he was looking to engineer a Berba move away from Spurs. Does every Agent do this "as it's only his job"? No, they don't. There are rules and regulations aswell as morals and decency in how to behave, and keeping Danchev as his Agent has reflected very badly on Berbatov.
:violin: You are not serious, are you?The questions he gets from the Bulgarian journalists are based on what is written in the British media.
Asking him this yourself will answer your question.
I'd like to see you backing this up about the Bulgarian media because all I see is stories coming from England.
In this particular case it's about personalities,it's like giving Gazza an award for promoting the image of the British.
Both Martin and Stilian Petrovi don't talk to the media in Bulgaria because they have their differences.
There are many more and much more successful Bulgarian sport stars than Berba
Try getting your head around your own club prejudices, and look at the facts.

toto84, you must be kidding  You can't say that Berbatov is a bigger star than Petrovs, you just can't! We both know that EVERYDAY there are at least 2 articles about Berbatov in EVERY newspaper/ site - yesterdaty he didn't play and it was again the leading news. I am Levski fan, my family, most of my friends,too.. but they all DO love Berbatov. Face the facts - the guy is very good player, polite, intelligent and loves the country (unlike you-know-who). Don't be prejudiced
I agree completely with this post except for one part - today there was exactly the same interview on BTV with Martin Petrov. Btw, he said that there was no offer from Spurs, it was just an "interest" they showed but nothing more..

toto84, this discussion is not getting any further, as you're just repeating the same assertion that all the transfer speculation emanates from the British Media, when I, and others, have pointed out to you that it was all started off as they are reporting information given to them directly by Danchev. Further confirmation and example of this is given in detail by a poster on gg forum.
And I'd get to talk to the President of the BFU how exactly? You're not really adding anything, just making silly points, so I'll make this my last reply.
Did you read my previous post? I gave you examples of BG TV interviews that Berba has given.
I'd be very interested if you could list them for me. Seriously, at a world level. As the only other sports people I know of are Albena Denkova, the icedancer, who became WC 2 times with her Russian partner, and several Rhythmic Gymnasts who compete at the top level.
If you don't like/don't rate/don't care for Berbatov as a representative of Bulgaria, why are you even bothering then?
The fact is every Bulgarian has an opinion on him - that's why he matters so much. So you're contradicting yourself.
Sorry for the late respond I just saw this post is on page 3
Petar Stoychev,Veselin Topalov,Kaloyan Mahlyanov,Stanka Zlateva,Velichko Cholakov. All they received award for the contribution of promoting the image of the Bulgarians abroad and for their achievements of course.
You wouldn't come with this kind of question/conclusion if you red my posts.
