We have gone through a whole season of unsettling rumours re Berbatov and his wanker of an agent .

He has also shown that he is a flouncy bastard which will not have endeared him to either Spurs or impressed potential suitors .

Real top players do not behave like this , example Carlos Tevez .

Does anyone else think that Berbatov is deluding himself if he really believes there is going to be a queue of clubs fighting to pay £25m for him ?

How has Berbatov shown he is a flouncy bastard?

Also would this not fit into one of the countless other Berbatov threads?

Don't blame him, blame his agent.

Nobody is pushing the issue harder than that particular son of a .....

If I was Berbs I'd sack the irreligious nonce.

I think Chelsea would, especially if Drogba goes. I think they'll be some way down Berba's preferred employers list though. He's spoken before about his love for good football, Chelsea dont really promote this so I doubt he's particularly excited about the prospect of playing for them. I dont think the reason he wants a move is money either. I think he wants to challenge himself in the CL with better players around him.

He'd be great at Real, but they have Ruud 'the horse' van Nistelpoop, who's been pretty good this season. Milan wont pay the money we want, Inter dont need him. Barca may want to do a swap with Eto'o but I can see 2 reasons why this wont happen:

1. We think Berba's worth more than Eto'o and they think Eto'o's worth more than Berba.

2. They wont buy anyone until the new manager's brought in, and I think Levy will want the Berba situation sorted before then.

you see Striebs this is the type of post that actually makes me want to see Berbs go to somewhere like Chelsea and score a stack of goals for them - (not against us tho :)

I think Berbs is a great player but if our fans don't want him he's better off gone

I don't think Berbatov believes he is worth 25 mill, at all, he seems to be pretty grounded.

He can be both frustating to watch and amazing to watch at the same time. He will do something unreal, then in the next minute, flap his arms and moan to his teammates about a stray pass.

If he goes, we need to get a decent amount for him, simple as that.
His agent is doing what he is paid to do, get his name out and about and earn him a decent amount of money.

Berba does want CL football, we know that, he knows that, spurs know it.

But as a spurs fan, if he goes, id rather it abroad.

He has until July 3rd to decide on what he is doing. If he does leave I hope he goes to AC Milan.

I, like most Yid's, want to see Berbatov (in a White Puma (overpriced) THFC jersey and matching shorts) but the jury is still out in respect to his agents agenda/career path leanings. I hope that we get a few more, successful, seasons from the guy and, in essence, several mega successful years for THFC.

However, that said, are we deluding ourselves thinking that we are STILL 'big hitters' in the European game? Time will tell I guess but the loss of Berba will signal more than just the loss of a quality player...but the loss of a clubs 'attractive quality' to THE BEST players! Funnily I have never felt that THFC were in any danger of dropping into this league....but the signs are there, despite Ramos et al at the club. Ramos' main 'claim to fame' is a dual Uefa Cup success....but is that the extent of where we wish to go? Call me 'picky', at best, but I want the whole CL dream at WHL....Do You? COYS!

I think this has been mis-interpreted. Poyet said he was due back for pre season training on the 3rd July. Thats not time for him to decide on what he's doing. Currently there are no offers, so there is nothing to decide really.

I saw an interview with Poyet on SSN where he said they've given Berba till the 2nd or 3rd July to make up his mind.

Poyet seemed pretty adamant that he had up until this time to decide so the club could find a replacement if need be, I think they just want to avoid Berba leaving last minute. This is a good thing imo, the last thing we want is berbagate dragging on until the end of August.

Berbs is a great player if only he had the energy, attitude and commitment of Tevez. Could you imagine!!!!! Then he would be worth 25million Dont you think. Bebes first touch is priceless. The best I have seen in the Premiership this season. Shame about the attitude to his fellow players. He gets very frustrated with himself as well. Example, 4-4 with Chelski at WHL, and the keeps makes a priceless save to deny him. What a game thou.

In answer to the question, as others have said, yes there will be people around who'd pay that. If reports are to be believed, then Chelsea were willing to pay £40m for Torres. I personally dont rate Berba as highly as Torres (Sorry DC :D I know you'll disagree!) but not to far behind. If they are paying £40m for Torres, then them paying £30m for Berbs isn't that hard to imagine. I would question though Berbs being a straight replacement for Drogba though. I'd imagine they'd want someone who could replace Drogba goal for goal, which in my opinion Berbs won't. I think he'd be best used slightly off an out and out front man, rather than a lone striker, although I know he would do a job in either position.

Thats why it's laughable people saying Berbs and Eto'o wouldn't work, for me it would be perfect.

I don't really think people want him to leave, it's just a gut reaction. He's not making the right noises, he's not committed to the club, so it's a case of "Get someone who wants to be here". He hasn't denied any of the rumours and most of us must have that feeling that happened once before.

You're probably right BR - but that gut reaction is what they're uttering whatever they 'really mean ' and it ain't the kind of signals that will encourage Berbs to stay - ok he might not care what fans say - but he just might

Hi DVD :) - trust me I have no problem with that assessment -

it's the Berbs bashers saying he ain't all that and the ones saying he's only worth £20m or less that I'm disaagreeing with.
