Ah, that's interesting, thanks for the info Gabi.

Although some don't like or trust the Daily Mail, as SS57 has posted here, in recent times, they do seem to be the British paper with the most accurate info regarding Spurs, so possibly this news about the meeting came from Spurs themselves.

Danchev was most probably very angry as for once he couldn't manipulate the story to his own advantage. Having failed to get the outcome he wanted, he pretended he had nothing to say....but went ahead and still declared that his client was seeking a new club.

I don't know if i can trust him but he said "at the moment the spurs director (i don't know i fit is right to say this is English) and I are trying to understand where these speculations came from. We both are angry and we have the same positions about this. " It's something like this. I don't know if this is true or if it's important at all. After all, he told more than enough before this..

I know, it's extraordinary how a man with a reputation for speaking to every member of the press all the time, suddenly wants to complain that a press story about him isn't true? Eek

Personally, I think if Berba does stay at Spurs, then Levy/Ramos should insist that Danchev stops his endless efforts to drum up a move. We all know the transfer window after that will be in January, but he should be told in no uncertain terms to stop stirring up speculation once pre-season resumes. Ultimately it's in the interests of his client anyway, as undoubtedly Berba's form has been affected this past season.

How has Berbatov shown he is a flouncy bastard?

Not sure what he means by 'flouncy' but he(Berba) has been a bit of a ****, to be fair, and still continues to be, in my opinion. Berbatov could easily tell his agent to shut-up, or something along those lines. Instead, he lets his agent mouth-off all the time, who pretty much keeps saying Spurs aren't good enough for him. Its obvious Berba doesn't mind his agent saying the shit because he's probably put him up to it, after all, Berbatov is his boss and not the other way around.

My point. If Berbatov was a total thicko, like so many players, I could believe he was being strung along by Dantchev. But he isn't. He comes across as unusually intelligent for a footballer, and, like Mido before him, speaks better English than a lot of players who have it as their native language. That's what annoys me.

Lilly my point has always been, dont take newspaper media etc as gospel. Also you mention Gus, JR, and Levy have already made statements clarifying the situation, i must of missed that televised interview and i apologise.

Heres a post i put a week or 2 ago, were i mentioned Dean Ashton would be a ITK in a couple of weeks, seems the paps are now running with the Dean Ashton story, just goes to show dont believe everything you hear or read.

Oh, it doesn't surprise me in the least. Journos are well known for trawling message boards to pick up info, stories, they even directly quote what posters say and turn it into a "fans are disatisfied" story if it's a quiet newsday.

Digital Spy posters get quoted during every reality show run.

As regards always believeing what I read in the press, I truly don't.
I read the press and ITK's with a completely open mind, and generally come to my own conclusions.

Though if you do follow a particular story or particular player, as I have done with Berbatov, and get information from several sources, newsites, the web, and his own words in interviews, TV appearances etc. then you can cross reference everything and get a clearer picture and understanding of how he is thinking and what the truth is.

What? IF Berbatov leaves i won't give a shit how his career goes. I sheer for Spurs, and the players who wear our shirt. And he is not yet a legend to be remembered after his days in Lilywhite!

If he wants to leave then f***ing cash in. If he wants to stay, the brill. He can then hopefully help us overtake the scum!

So how exactly do you expect people to feel, DC? Berbatov's not stupid, he could end this speculation with two words and shut his agent up or fire him, but he's done neither and continues to dick us about. People are unhappy and have every right to be.

Funny how when Chimbonda says he's only in it for the money everyone jumps on his case. At least he's being honest.
