In addition to this, I saw a poster of Bale and two other players (cant remmeber who they were though) advertising the new spurs home kit at charing cross station earlier, northern line exit
Sorry but you're wrong, its hard to see but Gomes definately punched it first, even the bbc live updates suggested so:
1740: Penalty shout for Aston Villa as Heurelho Gomes flies in at Emile Heskey inside the box by the touchline but referee Martin Atkinson is having none of it. Replays...
Gomes punched the ball before heskey got there despite Andy Gray constantly going on about Heskey getting the ball first.
One of the worst refs I've seen for a while, however the non penalty was maybe the only thing he actually got correct Eek
the reason for that was because LYP was injured for that game, I think we played chimbonda (?) there instead and they exploited this well with both their goals coming down our left side. In the first game LYP dealt with their attacks down the right (alves and co) comfortably.
Anyway I'm fairly...
The mentaliity of the players is pobably the biggest factor, but also the home side can manipulate a few factors for their own advantage, e.g:
Stoke have their pitch as narrow as the rules allow so their throw ins are more effective.
Watering the pitch makes the surface more zippy to make...
How about when Klinsmann scored a wonder goal in the last minute (?) what year was that, or was that the FA cup, ahh two posts up.
amazing game and result that was :-)
in the Yahoo flops of the season team, they have BAE in there as the worst... right back of the season

the guy has never even played RB before:bang:
No for some reason we always seem to open away from home, whilst other teams always have relatively easier home games (eg the arse - conspiracy theory perhaps)
I also can't remember the last time we won an opening match.
third flipping year in a row, all the optimism i had for the season completely dashed after the first 90 mins.
Theres no way we're finishing 4th this year
