Last season he had 45 games. 3 subs.

He scored 15 goals and got 16 assists.

Nearly all in the league.

That's pretty impressive, i guess he was working extra hard to try and get into the World Cup squad. And i'm pretty he'll stay fit and keep working hard as he has hopes of playing for Brazil in the next World Cup.

Interesting stats, I think if he was still playing in La Liga then there would be much more coverage shown and he'd still be regarded as one of the top players in the world. As it is, coverage of Serie A is limited and not one to be covered by Sky Sports and I think the general perception is that Ronaldinho's stature has plummeted from the days of playing for Barcelona.

For me, wages are far more of a transfer killer than debating if he would add anything to us playing wise!

His heart isn't in it anymore. He is out of shape and not commited to training. Not in keeping with the rest of the squad. If Harry cant get much out of Giovani then he'll have no chance with Ronaldinho. Not to mention his wage demands are going to be far too high.

I can tell you, his agent has been trying to get him in PL since summer and a club or two was interested...However, his wage demands and lifestyle worries some.
Ronny would love London just like Dos Santos ;-) . I would prefer Kaka...
Would Etoo be able to play CL for us if we sign him...
Looks like Carroll to spurs for me though.

If he plays all games, he will be fit by default.

I mean how many Brazilian wonderforwards have ever trained like an Olympian?

They get good by playing millions of mins of football in the streets, then the local teams, then the B teams, then the big team.

You drop Brazilian player for a few games and they end up looking like Ronaldo.

Harry does like a challenge of getting the older players back to their best, What an achievement for Harry it would be if he took the gamble and did get Ronny back to his best.

I would like to see it happen just because of who he used to be, so long as it didn't impair our chase of a top class striker.

I doubt he could hack the pace of our league and would probably be a impact sub only. How his supposed crazy off the field life style would effect our current excellent team spirit I don't know.

Practically it's probably a signing we should steer clear of, but it is very much something that would capture the imagination of the fans.

Elmander on the cheap in January could well be an astute move on our part, would add a bit of guile up front and would link up play nicely.

Trouble is, he wouldn't be certain of a place in the starting 11, unless he was playing up front with VDV (which I'd be dubious that he'd be capable of)

However, if he was happy to knuckle down, train hard and do his bit as a squad player, then I'd gladly have him on board

Can't see him doing that though :-|

Ronnie as impact sub, his technique, as with vdv but moreso would render him very hard to knock off the ball even in our league, he can do 30 odd mins a week playing to shit up defenders near the end and sell shirts. Or we put Luka alone in the middle and play him with VdV behind Elmander... Ding dong eh

Ronaldinho at 8 million euros could be a masterstroke or a complete disaster

not sure really but I'm thinking more of a disaster
