I would like us to sign Elmander on the cheap, especially if our 'top targets' prove hard to sign this window.

Even if we could get a Torres/Llorente/Benzema type striker I would still prefer we sign Elmander as well and move on both Keane and Pav (or Crouch)

*cough - founder of the spice boy / continental movement.

No doubt he is a Spice Boy.

But since when have any of ours played a whole season like him?

People are writing him off after a handful of games this season.

Completely agree, I would take Elmander all day long given that the risk is very low given his contract situation...and he's an upgrade on a few our strikers anyway.

Improving the squad for little cost makes perfect sense to me.

Real Madrid and Inter have sidelined him. That tells me the boy is shot, no longer motivated and is on the long slippery one way road to obscurity from a top drawer stage. He would offer little other than organising the weak and feeble to accompany him to the bright lights of London town.

You have to admit: You are pretty biased when it comes to him right?

I mean 05/06 version? Have you seen his stats in 07, 08 and 09?

Sour grapes mate.

????

Anyway, lets see how he does at his new club.

The beauty is, we can see how it goes.

True. He can be a real big shot with little responsibility in the big buck MLS League. He would be the new Rodney Marsh or George Best.

The trouble with Ronaldinho is he doesn't do anything for large periods of a game. Last season his stats were really impressive. No doubt he came up with a number of goals and assists, but he didn't do much else. Milan really just carried him. He wont do any tracking back and he has no desire to dominate games. He'll come up with moments of magic, but they are few and far between. Plus I doubt he'd get as many goals and assists in the Premier League. He's a bit like Pav and Defoe in that respect, just better quality when he does do something good.

Agree.

Watched him three times last season. Against Real Madrid, he couldn't give a toss but he impressed me in AC's games against Utd. Phenomenal skill.

Think i must be the only person who likes the sound of this.

I love the sound of Ronny, Bale, Lennon, VDV, Modric in a starting 11. Dont ask what the formation would be.
