poor how we are in this situation again, the wigan 2-2 is like aston villa away last season. But if it means we put on a 5* show v chelsea I do not care, we need to show there is not much of a gap between 3rd-5th place in this league. COYS

A win and it remains in our hands, but a draw and I'd still say we have a good shout. It is must not lose for me, I'd rather we 'settle' for a draw than go all out for a win and get taken apart and lose.

Must win. I don't think Arsenal will drop any points (Wigan H Newcastle A), I think Chelsea might draw one of their two other games but that will be enough for them if we don't beat them.

COYS!!

Anyway the whole premise of this thread is pretty much redundant anyway. You can't play open against this Chelsea side. Exactly what Mata, Hazard and Oscar want is free space infront of our defence. They are too good to let them have it. We'll have to defend with discipline and use swift counter-attacking to try and win it.

i am so fucking scared.

my head says a heartbreaking season-ending 3-1 defeat, but my heart says a hard fought 2-1 win with another late winner from gareth sending us into tears

its all or nothing now. lets do this.

if both us and arsenal win our remaining fixtures that 2-2 at Wigan will be one of the most important points we picked up

games like this is when we need sandro ;/

I think he should just stand on the touchline next to Freund and glare at the opposition players.

I remember a couple of years back when Gattuso was out for Milan and he just spent every game standing next to the coach and driving on his players. Whenever they scored he'd practically beat up Allegri in celebration and the players loved it.

On the basis of what I have seen we are not capable of "settling" for a draw, we cannot park the bus as our defence cannot cope especially against Chelsea, the only form of defence we know is to attack, we don't seem to be able to defend corners and when we sit deep or play pass back I always get nervous as I've lost count of the amount of times we have given teams chances in those situations, the Chavs will literally stroll it against by 2,3 or 4 if we play that game.

I know it's risky and we could also get walloped by being cavallier but TBH the only way I can see us winning is going guns blazing and winning it 3-2 or 4-3. We will leak goals against them on the basis of what everyone must have seen, the question is have we got the balls to go toe to toe with them and slug it out and score one more than them. To dare is to do so COYS lets do it the Spurs way as that's the only way we could pull it off.

If Bale scores another last minute screamer which wins us the match... Imagine.

I think I'd go into a state of delirium

If that happens, I've been dreaming about it lol, I fear for the peace on my street. It would be absolutely mental, even more so than City a few years back - because its Chelsea, what they did to us last year, its the AVB factor - it would be one of most epic moments in prem history for us given the significance of it.

I totally agree... The minute 85 keeps jumping out at me, I've been daydreaming about it big time!

I really want it for AVB on a personal level, Spurs aside. He was treated like a shit by that soulless club and it will be his big moment to give a huge middle finger to all those involved in his execution.

Its weird because I know we are the underdogs, and I almost don't want to say it out load, but I do have a sneaky feeling for us. If we can stay in the game until the latter stages we could just see something really special. Need a real disciplined performance though, decision making has to be good and above all we have to be really up for it - I totally expect us to be though.

oh and the 87th minute keeps jumping out for me!!

Yeah I agree, discipline is vital or Chelsea are a team who on their day can run riot...

I have to say my confidence depends a lot on their injuries and ours.

If we have Lennon, Dembele + Parker out AND they have Hazard back; I'll be watching from behind the couch.

Let's split the difference and have Gareth sccore in the 86th minute to keep us both happy :p

I've had a nightmare.

Had an evening planned with a few Spurs supporting mates for this one and was counting down the days, and then last week the penny dropped...

...it's my girlfriend's birthday on May 8th.

I then remembered her telling me that her Mum had booked a table to take her out on the evening of the day, and could I make it. "Sure" I said, consulting the fixture list.

Sky had to go and rearrange it for the only fucking evening I cannot get out of!

Not watching it and having to refresh my phone every 3 minutes is going to make the stress even worse!

That and the fact that I am going to have to pretend I'm having a fun, relaxing evening at the same time is going to make it feel like the longest 2 hours of my life!

I want to see this when I refresh my phone at 9.45...

GOAL- Chelsea 1-3 Tottenham - Gareth Bale (90 mins)
Oh. My. Fucking. God. Words can barely describe the scenes in the away end right now as Tottenham's talisman completes an epic hat-trick.

The Welshman plays a one-two with Lewis Holtby in the centre circle before embarking on a mazy, lung busting run past four Chelsea defenders, rounding Cech and tapping in to seal the win for Spurs. Stunning.

:)
